Our family-friendly haunted trail has activities for everyone:

• The Terror Trail, a full-blast scary experience few survive, is recommended for 8 years and older.
• The Boo Loop is designed for children under 8 years old and for those not ready for the Terror Trail.

Date and Times of Operation: Terror Trail runs from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. The last shuttle bus from the parking lot to the Ticketing Center leaves at 9:45 pm.

Inclement Weather

We are an outdoor venue; please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to walk along dirt paths in the woods.

We always strive to be open during the Terror Trail season. If rain or bad weather is in the forecast, we evaluate our operational status; we have been known to wait out the rain and open the haunt later in the night or shut down early, depending on what Mother Nature decides. Station 7 Terror Trail welcomes everyone to dress up in their favorite costumes throughout the season! Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all. We can't wait to see the creative costumes our guests will come up with!

Where Do My Donations Go?

As this is a non-profit event, proceeds benefit the AVFD Station 7. Proceeds go toward new or improved essential equipment for the Station. In the past, proceeds have gone toward a new fire truck and renovations to our Training Center, which we use for the Ticketing Center during the Terror Trail’s operation.

The canned food you bring for ticket discounts goes to a local food bank.

Come and Get Some Chili!

Crofton Chili Cook-off, Saturday, October 17, 10:00 AM to Noon

Visit the Crofton Chili Cook-off for great chili and to support a great cause!

Join the CCA, the Crofton Kiwanis Club, and the Crofton Farmers Market from 10:00 AM to Noon at the Crofton Farmers Market, located in the Crofton Library parking lot at 1681 Riedel Rd, Crofton, MD 21114.

For a donation of either $5.00 or some packaged food for the Crofton Christian Caring Council's Food Pantry, you'll get a ballot and can try each chili! The chili that gets the most ballots wins the People's Choice Trophy. 100% of proceeds help folks in need in Western Anne Arundel County.

We will also be presenting judged awards, including an award for the hottest chili. We'll present awards at 11:45 AM.

Crofton’s 11th Annual Dog Show and Dog Pie Eating Contest sponsored by Crofton Civic Association will be held in conjunction with the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce’s Festival on the Green, which will take place at the Crofton Country Club from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 26th, 2026.      Every dog is invited to bring its owner to the 11th Crofton Annual Dog Show, starting at 11:30 AM. Check-in will begin at 11:00 AM, and contestants will be judged in the order of their arrival. The judged event is fun and family-friendly, and kids are welcome to escort their dogs. Medals and prizes will be awarded for:

•      Best of Show (overall winner, behavior, and grooming)

•      Runner Up (overall behavior and grooming)

•      Most Tricks

•      Most Original Trick

•      Best Costume

•      Pet/ Pet Owner Look Alike

•      Simon Says (Dogs will line up with their owners and be asked to perform standard commands by Joy Hutter of the GCCC. The most obedient and responsive dog will win for their age bracket.)

There will also be a dog pie-eating contest -- We will have small pumpkin pies for dogs under 25 pounds and standard-size pumpkin pies for dogs over 25 pounds. This contest is limited to eight dogs in each category (so register early). Early eating will disqualify your dog. On the command “Eat,” the dog that finishes their entire pie first is the winner. This will be a fast contest! A “Top Dog” trophy will be awarded at the end of the show by the judges. This will go to the dog that is simply the most impressive! Participation in the contest is free for entrants. Contestants should reserve their place in the contest by completing the registration form. We suggest registering early, but please register no later than September 23rd. Terms of Registration:

• All dogs must be on a leash and in control of their owners at all times.
• All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccinations and wear rabies vaccination tags on their collars or the owners must have proof of vaccination.
• Please don’t enter or bring aggressive dogs to the show.
• Owners are responsible for picking up any poop and disposing of it (bags and a garbage can will be on site).

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating an increase in thefts of driver-side airbags from parked vehicles in the Crofton, Hanover and Laurel areas of the county. Honda Civics, Accords, and HR-Vs have been targeted most frequently during recent incidents.

Community members are encouraged to take the following precautions:

--When a garage is unavailable, park in a well-lit and visible location.

--Lock all doors and close all windows.

--Use a visible steering-wheel lock or other anti-theft device as an added deterrent.

--Consider an alarm equipped with glass-break or impact detection.

--Ensure exterior lighting and security cameras cover the vehicle.

--Do not leave valuables or charging cables visible inside the vehicle.

--Report suspicious activity promptly and do not confront suspicious individuals.

Community members with home or business cameras are asked to review and preserve recordings of suspicious persons or vehicles in areas where thefts have occurred. Provide video and information directly to responding officers or investigators rather than posting it publicly, as disclosing this information could interfere with the investigation.

If you see a theft in progress, move to a safe location and call 911; do not confront the suspect(s). Report previously discovered thefts through the department’s non-emergency number at 410-222-8610 or online at https://www.aacounty.org/.../crime.../online-crime-reporting.

The Annual Ice Cream Social is a fun family event, but we need a couple of more volunteers to help out. For high school students, service hour credits are available.

The Ice Cream Social will be held this Sunday, August 30th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Crofton Town Hall, 1576 Crofton Parkway, Crofton, MD.

Throughout Crofton's history and development, there have been many people who have contributed to our growth and Crofton's "hometown" feeling and sense of community. The Crofton Civic Association recognizes those people who have made an impact on Crofton through the Crofton Citizen of the Year award. ​     Any resident of the Crofton SCBD may nominate a neighbor or friend that they believe should be recognized. All nominations are due by Friday, September 11th, at 5:00 PM, and the CCA Board will review all the applications and select one winner at the September CCA General Membership Meeting.

​     The Award will be presented to the winner during the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce's annual Greater Crofton Community Awards Celebration, Wednesday, October 21st, 2026.

Hello, superhero wallet found on the Crofton Parkway in front of the country club. Found it around 6:30 PM. Walked over to the city hall, but it was closed. I left it with a maintenance worker who said he would give it to the police or let somebody at church know about it. I didn’t get his name. Just trusted the dude. If it’s yours, best thing to do is to reach out to Crofton City Hall to pick it up. I’m trusting the maintenance person delivered it.

FOOD TRUCK TUESDAYS – CROFTON UPDATE

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Food Truck Tuesdays in Crofton for the remainder of the 2026 season.

As many of you know, this was our first season in Crofton, and unfortunately, we faced several obstacles that made it difficult for the event to gain the momentum it needed. One of our biggest challenges was visibility at the current location, which made it hard for people passing through the area to even know we were there.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who DID come out and support us and our amazing food trucks this season. Your support did not go unnoticed!

But this is NOT goodbye forever!

We are already looking for a new Crofton location for the 2027 season, somewhere with better visibility and the opportunity to grow Food Truck Nites into the community event we know it can be.

So instead of saying goodbye, we’ll simply say…

Help Support the Crofton Parkway Flags! Sunday, June 14, 2026 is Flag Day and this year, being the 205th Anniversary of our Country, we are asking Crofton residents to support this Crofton tradition.

Everyone loves seeing the US and Maryland Flags along Crofton Parkway. They go up before Memorial Day and are taken down after Veterans Day every year. The Crofton Civic Association started this program back when Ed Dosek was the CCA President, and the Crofton Kiwanis Club since taken over management of this program.

However, each year those flags and poles take a beating! On average 32 flags and 25 poles are replaced each year. In the last 11 years, the Crofton Kiwanis Club has spent over $13,000 on replacement poles, flags, and fittings. Last year we saw unusual wind and flag and pole replacements cost almost $2,500 this year.
