Discussion How can Disney justify how much its prices have increased since inception compared to other streaming services???

Post image

There have been six price increases over seven years, with their price rising 200% since inception. I mean, this is crazy. I don’t think their library has expanded nearly enough to justify the change and, in fact, it seems like they offer way less original titles than any other streaming service. This is getting out of control

Netflix launched way before 2016 so the chart doesn't even make sense. But yeah, Disney was definitely very aggressive on their pricing to get marketshare.

Well 2016 was when all those companies started announcing their own streaming service, so makes sense to use that as the starting point for them.
