Advanced question Most recent Dango and collection. How to get smoother?

I learned and follow the steps of Noriko. I think my problem is letting the ball fully dry out as I let it air dry(no Ziploc). I dip the core in water for 20 seconds and sprinkle clay on and hand smooth. Trying to get everything uniform and level. I get the water, olive oil, and cup for shaping during this step is where chunks come off and rough textures begin to appear. Focusing on repairing those with more cup shaping does more harm than good. This is the most round Dango I've made at about 93% and with the least texture at about 70% from texture less. What am I missing or could be doing better?

Advanced question Did some of you tried to make a Dorodango solar system?

I just discovered about this hobby a few minutes ago, and I think it's super cool, and I also tought that making a miniature solar system with this technique would be beautiful, as any of you tried to accomplish this?

Advanced question Trying Color…

I’m at my wits end trying to make a colored Dorodango as beautiful and smooth as the ones in the sub. I’m using red clay primarily because it’s around my apartment. I mix the mica in with the clay so it’s sticks too. I still have uneven spots that are off colored compared to my smooth uncolored ones using the same technique and medium. Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Advanced question Shine tips?

Was wondering if I could get some tips on shining this up. I spent over an hour in the polishing stage rolling it on an egg cup. Polished with a microfiber towel for a long time as well, ended up losing some paint. This is my 1st real try with using some Clay from the store and some super sifted dirt from some memorable places. Trying to make this for my wife for our anniversary

Advanced question What size should the jar be in comparison to your core?

Can you guys show me a size comparison of your core versus your jar? I feel like my core is too small, but I don't have any smaller jars, and I think the size of the core is the reason my dorodango keeps failing (this is my first attempt). The jar keeps carving away pieces of the dirt and leaving deep gouges in the ball, so I'm assuming the mouth is too big?

Advanced question Acrylic Paint vs. Mica

Has anyone tried using acrylic paints to add color instead of mica powder? I already have a ton of acrylic paints and don't want to buy powders that I might not use a lot of (I've already done that with the acrylics!).

To be clear, the method would by applying the acrylics to the surface, applying a layer of dirt over them, wetting the rim of my jar, then smoothing out the pains to get a blend.
