Lead Merchandiser from a different Midwest state here, it's off the planograms/mods in stores but now it's about getting what's already been produced out. Most of my stores have replaced the two 12 pack spots with 24 packs of cherry Dr Pepper. Also, Shirley Temple 7 up started arriving here just today. Biggest sign of winter when you work for Dr Pepper 😂

Ok, then why can't I get the Vanilla Float one if you work for DP.... thats like my dream job. I'd love to just stock DP in grocery stores like I used to see when I worked at one. Whats the 411 on finding a job with them in my region?? If you can point me in the right direction.

You make it I’ll sign it. The people saying they don’t like it are also the same type that say they don’t like vacations.

I'd totally sign that petition. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tropical without being overpowering.

well there's 3 countries where I know it will never be permanent and they are Wales, England and Scotland and I don't know about in England and Scotland but in Wales, I only know of 4 places across the whole of South Wales where you can buy the drink which are imports from USA.

They made it a regular flavor. Has that status been reversed ?

I don’t know why you are getting downvoted. Coconut anything is garbage

That stuff sucked.. but I hate coconut in general. The strawberries n cream was incredible.

Strawberries and cream isn't nearly as good as the coconut. The strawberry flavoring is barely even present.

I like both of them

Nah, keep it limited and keep it special. That way you enjoy it more when it comes around. Baja blast used to be so beloved and people would buy it by the cart full. Now I hardly see anyone pick it up.

I think people who like the flavor would prefer it be a permanent one than limited lol. I certainly don’t really enjoy it more because it’s limited, it just makes it harder to find.

I'm just saying that, from a business point of view, it makes little to no sense to making a flavor that isn't at least 85% loved into a permanent flavor. Blackberry and Strawberry came out strong and they're still doing very well, Coconut has dropped off in popularity now that fall is here.

Because Dr Pepper has so many different flavors already on most shelves, some Walmarts can't even hold all the different sodas that Dr Pepper carries. The one nearest me only does the basics core flavors, plus cherry blackberry, and strawberry drs.

There's not enough shelf space in the store, to be frank, something would have to be cut down or cut out completely to make room and it just doesn't have the selling power past summer in order to do that. Even at the height of its season, the stores I worked at would sell five 12pks of Dr Cherry to one Dr Coco. I could go through twenty-five 12pks of regular Dr and the Dr Coco wouldn't even be touched.

Shirley Temple is coming back soon and I've already got people chomping at the bit to get that. That one is a holiday exclusive and it makes sense to do that, that way people can stock up enough (spend more money) to last them till it gets closer to the next run of it 9 months later.

I get people like it, but it's not liked enough to keep it around all the time

Ok I see what you’re saying now- that makes a lot more sense from the business side. I’m shocked that coconut isn’t one of the more popular flavors- I really liked it when I tried it. What was the order of popularity out of Regular Dr Pepper, Blackberry, Strawberry and Coconut at the stores you worked at? I’m curious

We generally stock more cherry, cherry zero, blackberry and the zero counterpart. Runs out the fastest for Dr Pepper, besides regular, diet and zero. I see more 7UP zero selling than regular too. As for A&W the zero is gone before the regular. Coming from northern Illinois

Did you say Dr Pepper Cherry, as in its own separate flavor? First time I’m hearing of that, I’ll have to look out for it and add it to the list to try- what color is the can? Red right? (Must be lol)

Dr pepper regular is king, obviously. Then comes Dr Cherry and it's dt counterpart. Then comes Dt Dr, followed by Dr Zero. Depending on the store it's either Blackberry or Strawberry that comes next. Walmart is the only store that I've seen Coconut move faster than a dying trickle.

Do you know what stores are likely to have cherry? Walmart or Kroger most likely? This is the first time I’m hearing about a cherry flavor- I’ve never seen it sold before

Walmart has them in their sets right now. Kroger honestly should, its weird if they don't. But then again, the Krogers around me have incredibly small shelf space.

Made an appearance today in northern Illinois!

Yeah probably because it's in all Taco Bell fountain machines!

I'd rather have caffeine free and caffeine free diet like both Coke and Pepsi offer. Hell, even my state's favorite local soda offers caffeine free.
