Any Awakening user is good replacement for Bartz or Yuffie. In this case is better you save Bartz AASB for Phase 3 and Cinque for Phase 2. If you have Cinque LMR(En-Earth) you will not need Mako Might or DMT to avoid the first Thunderous Judgment Bolt 99999% Attack.

By the way i first tried with Cinque before i got Yuffie AASB. Cinque used USB and Lmr with R5 6* Heavy and R5 Stone Press, with this setup sometimes i reached Phase 3 and didn't have enough DPS to finish the battle.

That doesn’t sound very promising when you tried with the exact same setup I was going to have to use. The only other earth AASB I have is Machina and I don’t think he’s going to cut it. Oh well I think I’ll just have to wait for some power creep.

Edit: oh wait just realized you didn’t have Cinque AASB - I think I will give it a shot with stone press and quake strike and see - maybe the AASB can help push the DPS enough. I don’t have her en-earth lmr - how necessary do you think that is? I would lens her Usb, galuf imperil BSB, and bartz lmr

Like i said before if you lense Cinque LMR you will not need MM or DMT and you can use instead a damage boosting RM, for Galuf (or any CSB holder) is always nice to have a Imperil SB and Bartz LMR is a 10% triple cast but you will probably see between 0~2 procs so i recommend you lense it if you really need it (In March will be having for 5th Anniversary a free choice of AASB/AOSB/LMR and Bartz is in there ) Here link if you didn't see it. https://redd.it/enis5o

Yeah seems like my best bet is to lens cinque LMR and galuf BSB and see how it goes first. I can lens bartz LMR if needed

Dunno if you managed to find a clear but I did manage to get 4x clears with Bartz AASB and Cinque AASB. I did have her Glint+ to get 3x earth stacks, but really it was Bartz who does most of the DPS anyway. I also have Elarra AASB which makes healing in P2 a non-issue. (It still took an ungodly amount of S/L to get clears though) My clear info linked.

Hey thanks for your info! I managed one clear but had so many S/L and close calls after that I kind of gave up until power creep. I think I’ll give your method a chance though since I have pretty much most of the relics without Galuf en earth LMR but have Elarra glint+. Also don’t have as much magia but I think the DPS isn’t the problem, it’s the timing and survival. Thanks!

Haha well full disclosure my clears were still pretty challenging even when I thought I had a tempo down. I was tempted to wait for power creep myself after getting my first clear since I already beat Levi and didn’t actually need Ramuh. Good luck if you try!

Well thanks so much for replying to my old comment! I modified my setup to incorporate a few of your tactics and it helped me get my three other clears. Most important changes I made were using Elarra AASB in phase 2 instead of saving it for phase 3 and having ignis entrust Bartz in phase 2 allowing him to cast Usb before AASB (I had previously just gone BSB into AASB). I think the extra speed/damage/chase helped a lot. Thanks again! This fight was such a nightmare.

Nice! Yeah his USB1 pairs great with his AASB especially when crit fixed. Overall this was a fight I’m glad to put away too.
