serious hot take The dehumanization of babies and the humanization of pets is horrible

I’ve heard people say that they would save their dog over a Random baby and that is insane. This even extends to the Clancy case where people are supporting a woman who MURDERED her 3 kids. People also calling their pets their “kids” is weird as shit. People are crazy and the world is going to shit

Yeah I thought it was a fun sub idea when I found it a few days ago. I was subbed for about 5 minutes.

I've noticed that there isn't much doomerism going on in there.

What part of this demonstrates that there is any doom coming as a result of people making fun of Charlie Kirk? It’s not enough to just point out something bad is happening - you have to claim there is a pattern of societal downfall evident from this fact.

Literally one of the top comments...

I may sound a bit like a doomer here (sorry lads) but his death really exposed me to how ignorant most people are. Like I saw posts with hundreds of thousands of likes spreading demonstrably false lies about the guy that you can disprove with a 5 second Google search. The reaction really showed how gullible and lazy most people are and I think that’s a real shame. It’s one thing to not like the guy as he was, but it’s super obvious to me that most people relishing in his death haven’t the slightest idea of what he actually believed in.

This comment posits that people are ignorant. People have always been prone to ignorance. There is no claim of a trend of decline.

People have always been prone to ignorance.

lol this would just invalidate the whole sub because every claim of doomerism is based on perceived ignorance. You're just making shit up.

That’s not true. For example, a commonly criticized doomer claim is that Trump will somehow convert the US government to fascism and rule over it. That’s not a claim of ignorance, it’s a claim of active malice and harm.

And your sub would claim the people saying that/dooming are being ignorant.
