He also easily dominated the planet in the absence of invincible. All while killing much more powerful supes than the ones we see in the boys universe. Several people in this image alone are enough. I would guess that Rex and Donald are the only ones who couldn’t do it alone.

You are NOT trying to say that Machine Head, literally just a guy with a gun, is doing better than Rex and Donald

u/Broad_Bug_1702 May 31 '25

that microchip let him see the future. he could figure something out with that

252

u/Lopsided-Bathroom-71 May 31 '25

gets chip tells him to hire battlebeast Good chip

64

u/Snoo-28479 May 31 '25

Would the head exploding lady affect him, tho?

53

u/Fenrir_Hellbreed2 May 31 '25

Yes, but not that way.

Her power isn't head explosion, it's a form of blood manipulation (albeit with less fine control than the Gen V girl).

His head is entirely cybernetic, but I'm pretty sure his heart isn't.

"Well, why does she always do the head then?"

Easy. Shock value and greater odds of bypassing an unknown healing factor, plus she was probably trained to do it that way (so also some measure of "habit").

u/Creative-Chicken8476 Jun 01 '25

I'm pretty sure her powers are almost exactly the same including with control as Marie she shows that she can fully bend her blood like marie

7

u/Fenrir_Hellbreed2 Jun 01 '25

To be fair, that still puts Marie on another level considering the age and experience gap.

17

u/Lopsided-Bathroom-71 May 31 '25

Ive no idea how it would work if head is exploded, hes only ever stopped when hes decapitatrd so maybe ktd regrow?

1

u/Vanstrudel_ May 31 '25

Idk, did they ever explain how her power works specifically? I haven't yet finished the most recent season

3

u/TheHollowApe Jun 01 '25

GEN V (The Boys spin-off) explains it! She’s actually a blood bender and can control the blood of people, which lets her explode heads. So any robot is probably absolutely immune from it

1

u/Amaskingrey May 31 '25

It seems she can just rapidly increase the pressure of the insides of anything she's staring at until it explodes

1

u/Vanstrudel_ Jun 01 '25

Does it have to be heads? Or can she do it anywhere? Or is the head just good for poppin?

2

u/Amaskingrey Jun 01 '25

Anywhere, in the show she pops the hands of someone covering her eyes during a fight

1

u/YamNHeim Jun 01 '25

Her powers are better explained in GEN V, as one of the characters share her power set

11

u/Tacticalsquad5 May 31 '25

That’s like saying you can win a street fight by nuking your opponent

1

u/BuckFuttMcGee Jun 01 '25

What's insane is to think he could have hired Battle Beast to conquer the planet, and upon BB's discovery of Nolan and Mark living there, he may very well be inclined to do it too. Wild oversight from the writers and Machine Head's ability to use logic as his best weapon. Maybe that's just all a part of his flaw being that he's way too arrogant for his own good

1

u/dsalter Jun 02 '25

that chip also probably told him that he was going to be overthrown and the after math and which was more beneficial to him, after all he overthrew his own boss

1

u/Phoenix2TC2 Jun 04 '25

Battlebeast would get bored so fast in the Boysverse that he’d have to kill Machine Head on principle

48

u/Sladefan May 31 '25

Machinehead uses his chip to calculate all the probabilities of telling me I should've just hired powerplex

126

u/guesswhosbackbackag May 31 '25

Machine head surpasses Cecil when it comes to payroll.

159

u/The_Unknown_Mage May 31 '25

The dude somehow hired battlebeast for a bunch of teenagers

some unhinged rant about worthy opponents

"Also who'se that golden guy you hired?"

u/Ghdude1 May 31 '25

Battlebeast just joined because he was probably promised a good fight. He left as soon as he decided his opponents were too weak.

1

u/Team_skySmg4 May 31 '25

strong enough

1

u/Cross-eyedwerewolf May 31 '25

Right? He's welcome to leave after leaving Homeländer the same way he left Invincible

1

u/Will13Bright May 31 '25

I think MachineHead could pay off a bunch of mid tier supes to kill off the big ones, probably make them fight each other to whittle down the number, then kill the last few himself

21

u/LocalChronosJunkie May 31 '25

He got bucks to enroll whoever and how much he desires

Because it's not specified that people hired by one of the 3 options don't count

12

u/Ok_Attitude_8189 May 31 '25

Pretty much every supe in the boys is buyable with enough money and machine head has boatloads

8

u/Spring_men May 31 '25

BUT HE HAS MONEEYYY

4

u/french_snail Furnace May 31 '25

It depends how you mean

Is machine head himself going to win? No.

Is Machine head going to use his machine head to calculate a way that would allow him to hire the right people and set the right course of action to win, not necessarily immediately? Absolutely

1

u/[deleted] May 31 '25

Is Battle Beast on the US Department of Defense's payroll?

1

u/GreenridgeMetalWorks May 31 '25

Machine heads chip literally lets him predict the future and gives him the easiest path to his desired outcome, and also, and I quote...

HE HAS MONEY!!

1

u/DatBoiShaz Jun 01 '25

i’m sorry the mauler twins aren’t doing shit against homelander he shoots lasers out his eyes bro

1

u/earathar89 Jun 01 '25

He is just a guy with a gun. But he's also got lots of MOOOOONEEEEY!

1

u/Still-Presence5486 Jun 01 '25

A fun with a gun who cam see the future

1

u/DedHorsSaloon4 Jun 01 '25

Machine Head has summons, though. He can pay Battle Beast and other supervillains to defeat the Seven

28

u/AzekiaXVI May 31 '25 edited May 31 '25

wth is Machinehead gonna do by himself

51

u/SpoopyMSM May 31 '25

TIME TO CALL... A FRIEND!

10

u/EmbraceCataclysm May 31 '25

Sure he can see the future, but his real super power is being absurdly rich

1

u/ded904 May 31 '25

We’ve established this. He has MONEY!

1

u/cactus_deepthroater Rex Splode May 31 '25

I would say rex and shapesmith couldn't do it. Donald is strong because of his robot body and he's smart, he might struggle but he could do it.

1

u/ColonelMonty May 31 '25

Honestly Immortal id partially a victim to being outscored and unfavorable writing for him. Like realistically if it's not a viltrumite level threat he should be dealing with it fine.

1

u/ggouge May 31 '25

Shapesmith would also have a hard time solo but everyone else could do it. If machine head had his special chip he would do it so easily.
