THEORY Are Viltrumites Head Weak ?

Are Viltrumites head that weak even though they have been fighting for many years of their life ? From the show I have seen that their head are a weakness or is it their style of fighting to keep their head free from any big injuries because any part of their body once a body part healed it can never be critically damaged especially for Mark when he got his head punched and nearly died because of Omniman but when he used his head defeat Conquest we see that his head wasn't damaged as much as Conquest. Leave your thoughts and I've trying to get this idea off me.

So true, I’ll do pretty much anything just for half a minute of it.

-we must find their weak spot

-I found it! Without their heads they're powerless!

It’s like ants! When their head is crushed, they stop moving!

I like ants too. They are small but hardworking creatures.

That's wonderful.

Our petrous bone in the skull is one of the hardest and the jawbone is pretty hard. In general our skull is one of our hardest parts.

1

u/Blakester84 Jun 04 '25

For a damn good reason at that!

u/6ft3dwarf Jun 04 '25

i dunno about that. kinda conflating "vital" with "weak". yes if you seriously my brain then i'm instantly dead but if you seriously damage my hand i can go on, but it's a lot easier to damage my hand than my brain. skulls are pretty strong.

One good blow to the head can knock you out, if outright kill you in some cases. When you are in a (unarmed) fight for your life, going for the head is usually a good option

One blow to the head from a Viltrumite, even if you are a Viltrumite yourself, has even more chances of doing that. Even if they are stronger than average it doesn't mean they have a skull that's Invincible

While skulls are pretty strong overall, if you get hit on it, you're still likely to be very fucked up. The reason the skull is so strong is because what's inside is so fragile that any impact to it will kill you, which is why one good punch is enough to knock you out

Yeah but that's a vital/weak conflation again. What I took away from OPs question is why are Viltrumites able to pop Viltrumite heads like overripe watermelons like that? It makes it kinda seem like Viltrumite skulls are more weak relative to other Viltrumite body parts than human skulls are relative to other human body parts.

u/Giotto6X Jun 04 '25

Unlike muscles, you can't train a head to be stronger or more resisant. A normal buff guy could crack your skull with a strong punch, nothing you can do about that

A Viltrumite head can't get more resistant with training, it makes sense that a Viltrumite with their incredible strenght could pop another Viltrumite's head, because the amount of force needed would always be the same

They can also karate chop each other apart. Viltrumites seem to be more strong than they are durable

2

u/6ft3dwarf Jun 04 '25

I think we can assume that Viltrumite physiology somehow allows their body parts to "know" whether they are striking or being struck and adjust their durability accordingly.

They tend to go for the face or under the ribcage because those are the weakest spots. Skulls have lots of things like nasal cavities, eye sockets, the brain, the inner ear, and so on. It has limited protection. The under the ribcage punch is probably because it's hard to get through the ribs, but it is still fatal without medical intervention.

Conquest goes for the face, then guts. It's their style for how they fight each other. I guess trying to punch through the chest wall invites the gut skewer move and loses the fight. The rest is just testing the opponent's strength. So they tend not to go for it. Idk, though. That's my headcanon

Especially since there's a lot of smaller muscles at the head. Most of its protection comes from the density and thickness of the skull itself.

Definitely weaker than Nolan’s planet destroying arms

1

u/Formal_Drop526 Jun 05 '25

in terms of being a fatal injury, not of being an injury in the first place.

1

u/dude123nice Jun 04 '25

It's more complicated than that. The head is the most protected part of your body. But it also houses one lf our most vulnerable parts.
