Text-based Post/Discussion What do you think should happen to the seanad

After the 2013 referendum Taoiseach Enda Kenny said this "We will now continue reforming the political system and ensuring that the Seanad is a modern and effective Second Chamber."
In 2015 we got the manning report.
The only change we’ve got was because of a court case

Employment and Labour Affairs What would it take to turn the public sector strike to a general strike?

Obviously the public strike is to go ahead again next Wednesday ans potentially other Wednesdays going forward. I am on a student union so I have done my best to get students involbed in our university strikes. That's what we need. More groups striking. It just seems like we are shite at organising in comparision to all these countries that are out protesting at the moment. We need bigger than this and I don't know if we can afford to wait for the next strike.
