It's time for MACtion Monday! It was a wild week 1 around the league, let's talk about it!

On this week's episode:

📌 Addressing the ending of the Western Michigan game

📌 A new UMass? The Minutemen open the season with a dominant effort

📌 Digesting remaining Week 1 results & Week 2 lookahead

Included in this episode are some of your reactions to Week 1 🔥

Toledo fan here just to say that I feel just terrible for WMU here. Terrible way to lose this one. Great game. The Broncos will be a team to watch in the MAC this year.

We have a full slate of games down and it's time to share your reactions to your team in week 1. This is a safe space for you to show how thrilled you are about your team or air your frustrations!

What are your week 1 reactions? The most entertaining reactions may be shared on this week's MACtion Monday episode (which will of course be led off by addressing WMU getting robbed of a milestone win)

Looking pretty complete tonight

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here, just wondering about the clowns that run our countries. I completely respect any of you that disagree, most opinions have there reasons. I just need a good kick outta these.
Some of my favorites so far by the orange "justice" himself, "They're eating the pets, the people that came in," and all his women weightlifting speeches. He woulda hit it off as a comedian. The Barbara Walters interview was also so fun.

Thought this was worth a repost here

Just got home and checked scores and got like emotional when I saw the lead and watched the highlights. I’m a BG alum who grew up in Toledo and has lived in Oxford for 10 years, the MACtion just came alive in me for this Minutemen team.

Some say this post aged poorly, I say it aged perfect!

I know there must be a few UA alumni who care about Zips football.  I am one of them.  The Akron Beacon Journal posted an article today, in which HC Joe Moorehead sounded fairly positive about the Zips' hopes for this year.  Tonight's game against WF is going to be a rough start, but this is expected.  Can the Zips win six games this year? Yes? Maybe? I know the MAC is generally in the same boat in regard to the transfer portal, etc., but UA lost 41(!) players from last year’s 5-7 team. As a general question, is this sustainable for the G6, especially if your team has been down since before NIL and the portal?

Welcome to MACtion Monday! We found that our home conference currently lacks a weekly show to talk about the league, so we decided to create one! This will air every Monday around lunchtime (yes, this one is a little late)

Covered on this episode:

📌 Week 0 MACtion, Eastern Michigan takes down Sac State

📌 Week 1 Preview; Huge showdown for Eastern Michigan, after dark road test for Central Michigan

📌 Fly the Flag? Which MAC team(s) can pull a week 1 upset? 👀🏴‍☠️

This was an intro episode. Following week 1 when every team has played, I'll start a mailbag post to get your thoughts on your team. Some comments might be mentioned on the show. Let me know anything else you'd like to see featured in the show, I want to give our conference a 30min weekly show to enjoy.

2010’s MAC Era

I never really paid too much attention to MAC football, (I’m more of a Big 10) basketball guy. But while playing CF27 I saw history data that shows in the 2010s NIU won 3 Titles in a 4yr span with 5 straight years of 11+ wins which is a feat that hasn’t been done a lot in the MAC. What would you say was the significance and players that stood out to make that possible?

is tonight Eastern Michigan Sacramento State game considered a regular season conference game

Can someone tell me a little more about this water pump. I have had it for about six years. It was given to me about six years ago from a customer on a job site I was working on. All I know is it looks cool and it has a plaque on it that says property US Coast Guard. I have never tried to use it, but I imagine it was probably pretty bad ass for whatever it was used for. If anybody has any insights I would love to know what it was actually used for and if it was even legal to own it? If so, does it have any resale value.

can you give me a list of phonk music >

Giving thought to doing Saturday 8/29 Dodgers @ Tigers 1:10 and then Sacramento State @ Eastern Michigan football 6:30 in Ypsilanti. Is this possible to make both? And any tips on tickets for either? (Cheapest possible preferred). Thanks.

I've never been to Michigan so I want to take a trip up there and see the fall leaves and of course experience some MACtion. I'd like to go sometime late September to mid October. I see Western Michigan plays Boise State at home so that could be cool but I'm also wondering if any rivalry games would be more fun to go to.
