Why do websites showing donations exist?
Hey, I have a question: why are there websites in the US that show how much money has been donated to specific organizations and institutions? It seems to me that this is very different between the US and Europe. In the US, people show this quite openly, while in Europe, the amount of a donation or the way it was made is often kept private.
Can someone explain how this works in the US? Is it meant to set a good example for others? Or do you sometimes see it as a way of showing off, even without revealing the actual amount donated?
I’m also curious about the European perspective. What do you think? I haven’t seen websites in Europe showing how much money has been donated to specific organizations, but I’ve already found a few in the US.

Football Toledo & Bowling Green doubleheader 9/26
Hey there, I am planning on doing the 12 PM Toledo v San Diego State and 5 PM Bowling Green v USF football doubleheader this Saturday 9/26. Is there anything I should know about traveling from Glass Bowl to Doyt Perry? And any ticket recommendations besides the normal resale sites and team websites? Thanks in advance.

Maction Tour 11/14 complete
Unfortunately Sac State took an L 31-10 to North Dakota state. After a Completely Terrible first half that saw Sac State go down 28-0 they would put up a somewhat decent fight in the second half but they were completely outmatched by North Dakota State. But hey we move on with the next stop being Buffalo.

Maction Tour 11/14 Sac State
Nothing screams Mid American like California. But it doesn’t matter because it is Sac State vs North Dakota state. I have very little confidence in a Sac state win but hey you never know

FBS Oversight Committee Releases Statement on WMU/Mich Ending
x.com"The committee agreed that the instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play. Had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."
It's absolutely wild to release a statement essentially saying the wrong team won but they can't actually do anything about it 😂

University of Akron QB Reese Poffenbarger: Status?
I tried to contact an Akron Beacon Journal reporter to find out what is the issue with Reese Poffenbarger's eligibility. No response. I was at the game last weekend, and he was on the sideline. Does anyone know what happened in this situation? Akron is his fifth(!) university. Perhaps somebody didn’t do the math on how many years he burned? Could it be academics? Maybe he failed a class at his previous stop?

MAC to Move to Nine-Game Conference Football Schedule Beginning in 2028
Breaking news from the MAC offices. This means more inter-conference competition but less non-conference opportunities. I'm very curious to see how teams balance this moving forward, especially Kent State for example who usually prioritizes "buy games".
What are your thoughts on the move?

Moroccan students who attended a U.S. community college — I’d appreciate your experience
Salam alaykom everyone,
I’m a Moroccan student currently researching community colleges in the U.S., particularly in California, and I would really appreciate advice from Moroccans who have studied at a U.S. community college.
I’m especially interested in learning about the application process, F-1 student experience, English preparation, costs, and transferring to a four-year university.
If you have personal experience with this pathway, I would really appreciate it if you could share your experience or any advice/resources that might help me.
Thank you!

Too early to think Cibastian Broughton may be an unexpected QB gem for Akron?
As Akron was my first taste of college football in person, I always track them. In my notes before the start of the season I didn't have much about him, other than I was surprised he chose Akron out of HS.
I had him as a 3rd string back up, but maybe one that it would be cool to notice as he came in games to run the ball. I could then smugly think that I was the only person who noticed and cared!
Over two games he is above 80% for his passing completion and can clearly run the ball.
Anyone have any insights into him, if this is just fluky or if he is held in high regard?

Maction Tour 10/14 complete
FIRE UP CHIPS!! After a very terrible 1st half, CMU scores 13 unanswered to win 13-10. Not the prettiest win but hey a W is a W. Next week I am traveling to Sacramento state to see them face off against North Dakota State.

The MAC has issued a statement saying “it is now evident that replay protocol was not properly followed” during the Michigan game. The league has submitted formal appeals to the NCAA FBS.
The MAC has issued a statement saying “it is now evident that replay protocol was not properly followed” during the Michigan game. The league has submitted formal appeals to the NCAA FBS oversight committee and the CFP asking they recognize Western Michigan as the actual winner “for the purposes of their respective rankings, evaluations and selection deliberations, and take such other corrective actions as may be within their authority.
What are yalls thoughts on this??
