Me either, but I'm going to give him a follow on Spotify and stream some of his songs. Least he deserves for what he's sacrificing to make a point.

spotify CEO supports Israel/expanding AI weapons proliferation so maybe switch to something like Tidal...

Wasn't Diddy involved with tidal?

And jay z, who is a shitty billionaire in his own right these days…

Block Inc, CEO Jack Dorsey, has an 86% ownership share of Tidal, and neither Block Inc nor Jack Dorsey have investments with Israel or AI weapons technology. (Unlike Spotify)

I hear you. jay z has a line of dispensaries where he likes to pay people minimum wage. Definitely not really comparable to supporting a genocidal ethno-state, just pointing out that even the “good” billionaires like Jay z probably got that way by taking advantage of people.

No pushback on that, except it's weird you keep talking about Jay Z when he's just a public name attatched with minimal stake. There is no good billionaire. There is no "good" corporation. However, if one must get a streaming service, giving money to Spotify is probably the least good option, since that money is definitely going to both Israel and ai weaponry.

Valid on all points

Deezer is a good option.

ah it looks like it. Maybe just financially though. We shouldn't assume everything Diddy invested in is tainted

I've used Tidal since 2020 and it is amazing. I really hope people move away from Spotify. It's such an obnoxious and predatory company.

Yeah, that's owned by Jack Dorsey. Dorsey has only co-founded Twitter and other famously ethical services like Afterpay.

Jay Z sucks ass too. Qobuz is where I ended up.

He’s also on YouTube. Subscribing will probably make a bigger difference than Spotify.
