It doesn’t matter in any meaningful way. It’s just clout. TS wants to be able to say she spent x weeks at #1 or she had x #1 singles, and for that number to be as high as possible. It’s the same as chasing more money when you’re already a billionaire.

some homeless person is thinking the same about people living in a 300k house. "don't u already have enough? why are you still working?"

The fuck?

Yeah that’s not what I said, and even if it was, the difference between a homeless person and someone living in a $300k house is not comparable to any scenario involving billionaires.

so you don't think people with $0 to their name are envious and judgmental of a single person living in 4 bedroom house and driving a $50k car? surely, those people could live with less and help those who need it.

What the fuck are you even talking about? I never said that, and this is a discussion about music.

"its the same as chasing more money when you're already a billionaire"

If you’re going to focus on that, why are you defending billionaires? They have more money than they could ever spend in various lifetimes. The person with the $300K house is eons closer to being homeless than one of the .01%.

im not defending anyone, i'm pointing out people at every class level are judgemental of those in classes higher than them for not spending money how they imagine they would in the same position.

Yeah so that is a completely different sentence to the one you are arguing against in your other comments. I didn’t even pass judgment on billionaires in my comment. It’s weird that you are so triggered.

You just showed that you have no clue how money works.

You do not understand the difference between a million and a billion. A million seconds is like, what, 11 days? And a billion seconds is like THIRTY THREE YEARS

She’s hoarding just like all billionaires do and that’s why the music sucks. She’s cranking things out for charting and money and to break records not for the love of the art. And boy does it show.

Thought the Toy Story song was ace. Just saying.

That’s cool. It wasn’t a bad song. It wasn’t a great song. It was certainly a song!

I am talking about this whole last album. She needs to take a break and go live life so she has something to write about instead of her haters. Or bragging about her husband’s cock. Or bragging that she got picked by a guy who doesn’t find her “completely insufferable.”

u/DeadBallDescendant 4h ago

Yeah. Last album was a mess.

What exactly is she hoarding? She doesn't have a billion dollars sitting in her bank account. A huge chunk of her net worth is tied up in the art that she created and that she owns the rights to.

Do you not understand how net worth works?

No billionaires have a billion in their accounts. Like. What the hell? Net worth is the assets minus liabilities. That’s the case for every billionaire.

All billionaires are unethical, including your favorite one. And they don’t have their money just sitting in banks. They keep it in non liquid places so they can leverage the assets for massive loans so they can avoid capital gains tax. It’s called buy, borrow, die.

Come on stop boot licking billionaires it’s gross.

You are the one that used the word "hording", so maybe you are not sure how net worth works. Hording implies that she has this wealth and therefore others do not, and that isn't consistent with reality.

Also, the whole "all billionaires are unethical thing" is repeated like it is a law of science, when it isn't. You should have an issue with unethical business practices sure, but there is no reason why a person is "unethical" simply based on their net worth. There is no logical reason why a person with $999.9 million is any more or less ethical than a billion with $1 billion.

i understand money. i also understand being envious of those with more than you. there's plenty of people with empty rooms in their house that could house those in need yet they don't. are they greedy and hoarding wealth because of that?

3

u/hotlibramess 3h ago

Holy false equivalence. I don’t engage with bootlickers

u/loveheaddit 2h ago

i'm just trying to find out where you draw the line between too little and too much wealth.

2

u/hotlibramess 2h ago

You will never be a billionaire and siding with them won’t change that. Gain class consciousness.

who said i wanted to be a billionaire?
