Such a shit take lol. Are you also telling olympians to stop winning gold medals and let other countries ‘share’? Are you gonna stop going for promotions at work because you’ve been promoted too much and other people deserve pay rises for not doing as much? It’s a competition end of.

That’s a stupid comparison.

An Olympian doesn’t run one race, and then has that time count for the next 5 competitions. They have to show up do something NEW in order to win.

If TS was actually putting out albums worth of new material then it’s a different story.

It's the idea of trying to snuff out any other artist from having recognition above her. If you and I were both painters and my run at the gallery was about to finish so your paintings could be put up, but I added a tree to the landscape or changed some of the frames and tried to convince the gallery owner that I deserved more time that would be a bit petty. Would it not?
