First of all the joke is porn. the upper symbol is scissoring but like this(the photo given) the lower image is the kind that most of us would imagine after hearing the word. I'll attach the 2nd image on reply
look at the signs like these two symbols(<,>) overlapped, instead of two x on top of each other. < the upper and lower part resembles two legs.
the top symbol has both sides of same thickness which indicates the both leg on same plane while the bottom one has one side thin. which indicates one leg on different level of the other. in another words for the upper symbol both legs of the girls are on the same level(either both up or both down). while on the bottom sign, one leg up other down. just like the 2 photos
