And, rather than changing tack to adjust to new conditions, the abusers are suing to keep the abuse going.

So what’s the plan? Nationalize everything?

I'm not holding public office, so I don't need or have a plan. Mamdani didn't nationalize anything, because he's not a federal politician, he's the mayor of New York City.

IMO,

socialized capitalism.

The government runs a version of anything that everyone needs/uses. Grocery, cell phone plans, insurance, etc. etc.

it runs this version as a zero profit model. It charges what it takes to run and continue its existence. Public service style.

and if private companies want to continue the narrative that government is full of bloat, and that they can provide it cheaper and better, let them prove it.

They can compete against a zero profit model where no public tax funds go in, and the government has no incentive to upcharge because no money comes out. If they can do better, great.

but the zero profit model competitor would "keep them honest"

They have no plan, which explains why they have no regard for immediate, 2nd, and 3rd order consequences of their actions.

Who's "they" this time?

The shear overwhelming irony of anyone saying that ‘left wing’ ppl don’t have a plan boggles the mind

I was referring to the person who said he's not a politician, so he doesnt have to.

He's what's known as a useful idiot. Of course the politicians have a plan. History has shown us what the leaders of far left movements do to the useful idiots once power has been monopolized

2

We have nothing resembling the historical far left movements you're referencing in this country. Even an idiot like me knows that.

Yet. But you and the rest of they would eagerly vote them into power because you dont need to have a plan.

Again with the ‘plan’. The last broad right wing plan was trickle down economics and didn’t help workers. You see the word socialism and you start screaming like Joseph McCarthy.

I love how the only sensible comments on these threads get downvoted, lmao. This country is going down the tubes…

That comment is criticizing left wing politics. All three branches of government in this country are currently being run by right wing politicians.

This comment only shows your lack of ability to see the bigger picture. The fact that Republicans are in office now and for another two years is completely irrelevant - The the fact that these ignorant, asinine and just flat-out bad economic policies seem to be gaining so much traction with the populace in a democratic society where the majority can impose its will on the rest, could be catastrophic.

Wow, you called me dumb so you must be a very good and smart person. Congratulations.

No I didn’t - But if your reading comprehension is that low you’re probably not very far off.

Why do you think it’s gaining traction? Probably bc the system we’re in has absolutely fucked the working class

-1

Government regulation is the cause of the problem and your solution is more government regulation 😂
