I am a vet so I can say it directly affected me. We have been living in luxury and it was time for a reality check in the US.

I have 20 years of service and multiple tours through the region myself. You of anyone then should understand why this is pointless and why it’s the same bullshit as the last one.

Are you actually saying that we (Americans) deserve this because we were “living in luxury?”

We have been living off debt and cheap Chinese labor. Our current standard of living is unsustainable and was going to collapse. Our poor live better lives than most rich around the world. How is that sustainable?
