Best streets to admire Halloween decorations?
I came across Gainsborough, mainly between University and Forest - felt like Halloweentown x10 š„¹ You all killed it! What other streets are worth a drive down?

For anyone planning their fall cleanup: Royal Oak's curbside yard waste runs through the third Friday in December, which is Dec 18 this year. It starts back up April 5, 2027. The city also runs its separate fall leaf program.
Holiday heads-up while I'm at it: Thanksgiving week, Thursday pickup moves to Friday and Friday moves to Saturday. Mon to Wed is normal.
I keep a free page with Royal Oak's schedule, holiday delays and bulk rules, pulled from the city and Priority Waste notices: https://istrashdelayed.pages.dev/towns/royal-oak/
The page has an "Add to calendar" button too, so the dates land on your phone.
If anything looks off, let me know and I'll fix it.

Forgive me if this has already been fully dissected but ⦠Iāve been watching Hagelsteins and have no idea whatās going on there and now I see the old Rite Aid across from Frentz is having a face lift. Whatās the word?

Hey folks! I was at The Midnight show last night at the Royal Oak Music Theatre and sadly Iām pretty sure I left my beloved and favorite jean jacket on the rail (I was at the rail toward the right side). Itās a medium blue jean jacket with rainbow thread embroidered on the breast pockets. Iāve had it for at least 10 years now and itās my favorite jacket.
Coming here to see if anyone picked it up or happened to turn it in to someone? I called the box office and they said they havenāt gotten anything yet but to call again Tuesday in case it just hadnāt been brought up to them yet. Dubious but hopeful someone turned it in to a crew member. š„ŗ
Thank you!!

Hello!
My fiance and I are looking to get back into going to church. I was raised Catholic and he was raised ELCA Lutheran. Our goal is to find a church home where we can connect better with the community and even find someone who can officiate our ceremony if we feel like this is our place.
We are open to Christian churches of any religious denomination. We have tried a few in the area and haven't found something that really fits. I like something more traditional, but my fiance wants something that is a bit more free form. Something in the middle would be great.
Musts:
- Embrace all people of all walks of life
- Not a megachurch
Any suggestions of places around the Royal Oak, Berkeley, Huntington Woods, Madison Heights, or Ferndale would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Iām new to the area and am looking to branch out and make some friends! Iām hoping that anyone could provide me some insight on local art classes! I have taken a pottery class already. Iām hoping for a sewing or painting class. Thank you all in advance!

Today is the October 15th tax extension deadline. If you've already filed, congratulations, you're done. If you haven't, call us right now to see what's possible. Lincoln Accounting offers a secure client portal to exchange information so an in person appointment isn't necessary.
Call or Text 586-232-9661
My name is Jason Kassab and I own Lincoln Accounting. I love to help my fellow Royal Oak residents. I have been practicing for 20 years and look forward to taking the stress and burden away of doing your taxes.

i (32f) moved back here a couple years ago (grew up in waterford) and work remotely ā finding real-life friends has been a *task,* but here i am, shooting my shot on this sub. i can carry a conversation, i have unique interests, and iām the proud mom of a very sweet pup. comment or message me if interested ā thereās loads we can do in the area (coffee, thrifting, book stores, etc.).
p.s. can you believe this weather?!
p.s.s. whatās your favorite, uniquely michigan thing to do?

We currently have WOW and the internet continuously cuts out or lags. Looking to switch to AT&T fiber and would like your opinion. Iām tired of watching the circle in the middle of my screen. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I had asked on Facebook before this trying to find the best restaurant here. I really havenāt been impressed with anything locally so Iām trying to crowd source opinions. Just reading a bunch of comments gets boring and I didnāt really want to count by hand so I put together a bracket to decide the best.

Am I the only one genuinely not surprised and more than okay with Camelias closing? Never once had good service there and the food was mediocre for the price. Literally felt like the staff didn't want us there the last time we went so swore it off.
Edit: Spicy/Chile Margs were the highlight for me, but service always prevented me from getting a second.

This is kind of random but growing up there were these tunnels on 696 near the Detroit zoo and I know parts of the highway over there are closed but I was wondering if the tunnels are still closed or not. Iām planning on going out that way soon and I want to see the tunnels because the lights are super pretty! Thank you if you have any info!

For context weāre 29. Yes, I know we can just walk around and pop into any bar, which is probably what weāre gonna do. But just wanted any suggestions if anyoneās been to somewhere particularly fun. Also, has anyone been to the tequila blue ticketed event? Is it fun?

Iāll be moving to RO from out of state with my wife, 2 kids, and 2 pets next month. My wife and I are originally from Michigan, but my kids have only lived outside of it. I woke up last night in a panic about RO potentially not being a good spot for them. I was reading posts about people saying RO is great to live in your 20s but then move away when you settle down with kids. RO having no buses for schools etc.
Can yaāll put me at ease that RO is fine for my kids, the schools, the neighborhoods, etc. Itās been a long time since myself and my wife have been in MI too so weāre a little out of touch.
EDIT: Thank you all for the feedback. It sounds like we are in good hands šš»
