Fempire Friendly Graphic Novels

So here are some of my favorite graphic novels. Some of these are rather challenging and possibly even problematic in the ways they handle sexuality, abuse, racism, and other issues, but I found them all honest and thoughtful in their endeavor, and well worth the read.

Fun Home, Are You My Mother?, and Dykes to Watch Out For, by Alison Bechdel

The High School Comic Chronicles of Ariel Schrag

Stuck Rubber Baby, by Howard Cruse

Rent Girl, by Michelle Tea and illustrator Laurenn McCubbin

My Brain is Hanging Upside Down, by David Heatley

Bread & Wine, by written by Samuel R. Delany and drawn by Mia Wolff

Daddy's Girl, by Debbie Drechsler

I'd love to hear other people's opinions if they've read any of these as well as further reading suggestions.

I take this strip as a "mea culpa" for troubling tropes in the Order of the Stick's early comics. Terrific way of handling it.

Not sure if webcomics are appreciated here but whatever.

I thought y'all might like it because the protagonist is a pretty well-rounded character, a mother, and isn't objectified in any manner in the comic. She also punches a lot of stuff.
