Legit I tried watching it on crunchyroll and it kept loading ad after ad after ad. I left it on for like 30 minutes just for fun and it never loaded the episode. Just kept playing ads. Enjoy the ad revenue, I will never use your service like that again.

For me, it keeps giving me the exact same ads.

They're built into the Crunchyroll player. You can't block them.

I use an Adblock for crunchy roll and it works, then again I’m on mobile

I had a similar issue, but i found that the app version for Windows pc (Microsoft store) is way more stable and only gives you about 3 ads per interruption. I think they now have a new HTML video player for the web version, so that issue might be fixed.

VRV on my PS4 actually works pretty well so I've just been using that when I can't find it on Hulu

I tried watching Golden Wind on Crunchyroll and had to give up. Every so often the ad player would crash causing me to have to reload the page and watch all of the ads over again while I scrubbed the timeline to get back to where I was. Crunchyroll is such a garbage platform.

Because when I did use my adblock they player refused to function. Thats what happens when a company makes their own video hosting and player. Not only that but all of their ads are for their own stuff, so they have a vested interest in making sure we either pay them or see tons of ads to make us want to pay to get rid of them.

I believe they make the free version intentionally unusable, which is a shame. I can take an occasional ad, if it’s reasonable, but constant crashing made it impossible to use.

I pay for the ad free version and although they recently had a mini update, there is no way to organize the queue or give priority to certain favorites. They’re all just dumped in one place and the one you’ve watched most recently is the first one you see. They don’t mark any episodes you’ve seen as completed, you just see the episode you’re on, so if someone else in the household watches a show on your account and they are not at the same point in the show, it’s a pain in the buns to get back to where you were (gotta remember the number, description, or image, orr pull up the history, which isn’t always easy, either, especially if there is a binger in the home). The show episode section shows you the first of the season and has a single line of episodes, forcing you to scroll to the right forever, or until you [hopefully] figure out which episode you want to revisit. No option to filter newest. They need to get with the times or they’ll lose a lot of customers who are tired of sub-par streaming.

Their customer service also isn’t very good. When I streamed on my WiiU, it became completely unusable and the XBox version wasn’t much better. They gave me a sorry credit of $10 for their store, but the way they handled the situation was poor. They said it was a known problem, but they failed to let anyone know, just let them troubleshoot fruitlessly. I never used the WiiU version again after that because they didn’t care to fix it. That was the best platform for it because of the touchscreen with the console.

They don’t seem to really use any of that money they get to improve the experience. I honestly didn’t know they had a customer service number until I saw it on PayPal. To my knowledge, they don’t post it on their actual site for some reason.

download the app called Luna it disables all the adds and works perfectly for me. it just show a black screen with a buffering sign for like 2 seconds about 6 times.

Ooh I'll give that a shot. I just turn it on and it does it automatically?

Happened to me with the same god damn booking.com ad over and over and over again. That day was the day I vowed to never give them a dime.
