He seems like a okay dude, from his appearance on MSSP

As far as tech billionaires go he’s one of the better ones. At least his weird and freaky experiments and ideas he’s only applying to himself and his family and not the rest of us.

Pedantic, but he is nowhere near billionaire. Still filthy rich tho but sold his tech company years ago and got a few hundred mill

A few hundred mil could very well be a bil if invested years ago

Eh, if you watch interviews of his son it comes off in a way that makes the son seem very used. It's kind of sad like, "I didnt know my dad while I was growing up so now I'm giving him my blood for a sliver of his attention."

Oh yeah don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a bad guy. Just compared to his peers in hell, he’s a lesser demon and not Satan.

It may be controversial, but I think Bryan Johnson is a good guy. I think he's out of touch like a lot of middle aged rich men and his protocol is probably mostly for his own benefit but..

I think he genuinely wants to help people and has good intentions about using his own body as an experiment, knowing things could go wrong, to further health and longevity protocols for the average person.

He also doesn't advocate for people to do the expensive or wacky stuff he does, just that they optimise their sleep, nutrition and exercise.

I don’t think that’s what’s he motivated by, and if it is then he’s incredibly misguided and could be using his time and money in about a thousand different ways that would be far more productive to improving the health and lives of other people. In my opinion, he’s pretty obviously motivated by a narcissistic desire to not die and all the media/public attention that’s gotten him.

To your final point, maybe in parts sure, I think he also plays the social media game a little bit and hopes that kind of attention will draw people towards his main message/messages, but I've watched a couple of his appearances on different podcasts and he does come across as quite genuine in his desire to help people and empathetic because of his background.

On your first point, also sure, I think it's fair to say he's a bit misguided, but I think he also makes some good points on how a few specific health optimisations can transform certain people's lives and happiness.

You mentioned better ways to use his money, were there ideas in mind you had? (Genuinely curious :) )

I liked him on YMH too. A weird dude- for sure lol but but his passion for this does come off as kind. He recognizes himself as the experiment and doesn't really judge others for doing whatever.

I mean, extremely weird, but not really harmful to wider society.

Ahh so you don't have a problem with someone molesting a child because it only hurt one person?

It's quite disrespectful imo to compare this to actual sexual misconduct. It's weird for sure but it's just a known health indicator. A father involving their son in their passion (ie health tracking) isn't harmful in and of itself. It's like saying you were molested because your dad took you to the nude beach as a kid.

In what way? What has he done to indicate that? Or are you using a word you don’t know?

Posting about how you measured your sons nightly erections to millions of people would fit the bill in my opinion

His son is adult and consented. Weird, sure. Sociopath isn't the right word though, redditor.

That is messed up. I thought he only looked like a sociopath, but if this is true, you brought the evidence.
