So this is something kind of similar but way different. Before 2024, statistically the Indiana Hoosiers were the worst Power 4 football team of all time. Since they hired Curt Cignetti, they’ve went 11-2, 16-0 National Champions, and currently are 4-0. So over 2 years and some change they’re a combined 31-2 and won their first National Championship. It was revealed that Coach Cig made the practices shorter and doesn’t even utilize all the available days and hours they have. I’m talking a combined hour and a half a day, for around 4 days a week, sometimes 5. To put how crazy that is into perspective, when Jim Harbaugh took over for Michigan 2013, he was a strong believer in longer practices, six hours per player per day, broken up into 2 seperate blocks a day. It took him until 2021 to win his conference and 2023 to win a national championship.
