Chugging tea Well, I’m 42, with zero savings. Definitely have less than $900 in my checking.

If the dollar crashes, all that money you saved up will be worthless anyways.

 Only if you saved it under your mattress or in a bank account (which you should only be doing for short term stuff)

I agree with your overall point though

It’s my understanding the dollar can’t crash as long the world uses US dollars to buy oil. The petrodollar is the infinite money glitch, thank your president Nixon for that one.

Never say never. The crap the Trump administration is pulling is practically shoving the world away from using the dollar as we speak. The yuan (RMB) will overtake the USD soon if things keep going as they are. Some economists are saying it's already too late to fix it.

I think slowly is the right approach. I feel abandoning this system over night can destroy the global economy through the collapse of the dollar.
