I don’t remember tattoos/body mods being a protected from discrimination.

Tattoos are forbidden in most religions.

I didn't say tattoos are forbidden in all religions.
Some even force you to have certain tatoos.

But Christianty: Leviticus 19:28
And Islam: hadith: 4886

And this covers the two largest religions.

It would still be an issue if yoy tried to make a hiring decision based on religious tattoos from a minority religion. There is no restriction that only the main religious groups are protected.

Yeah sure, but this example woman is not having religious tattoos, she indeed looks like a doodle board with random shit over her face.

And companies tend to hire people they feel comfortable with.
And this company did NOT feel comfortable with her.

Which is a basic human right.

They didn't even have to give a reason why she's not getting the job, but they did. And suing a company because they didn't want someone looking like gang member will only result in her losing a lot of money on that, a judge would never side with her.

Otherwise everyone having their face covered in random shit can go sue the shit out of every company that doesn't hire them.

The person I was originally responding to was speaking about tattoos in general and I responded by saying religious tattoos would be an exception. At no point did I say that applied to this case.

I guess the thread derailed on that, I'm never attacking on someone's opinion, just making generic discussion.

But yes, facial tattoos (unless your religion demands it for some reason) are a bad idea.

Humans are social creatures, and if your face looks like a warcrime, then they'll assume you are one.

First impressions are 99% of getting the job or not.

I agree completely and am happy we could find that agreement
