Survivorship bias- the list of useless, dumb, and scam inventions is so much longer than what you mentioned here

Flying cars being among them…

does this change the fact that MANY inventions were deemed useless and then people were proven wrong? doesn't it serve as an argument to SIMPLY don't disregard what Musk did comlpetely as it was totally useless

You don't need to act stupid and assume that I meant that EVERY invention is useful. I simply meant that people are only bitching this much because it's elon, but that does look cool.

Yeah, but most inventions that turned out to be useful weren't deemed useless. Make an actual case for how this product has a real, practical use case. A categorical statement like "Well, some useful things were thought to be useless at first!" is not an argument.

Precise air thrusters being able to maneuver a vehicle through the air and get it to stick to walls? How could this technology possibly be useful!

I hope you are joking

I am talking about this specific product. A car with air thrusters. I have no doubts that these air thrusters are useful in other cases. Please spell it out for me, don't dodge the question. A real-life scenario. What's the scenario when you want to use air thrusters in your car. When would you even be allowed to use these?

in terms of safety there can be uses such as if the car goes off a cliff the thrusters could be used to land the car safely. Maybe they can be used to avoid accidents like being tboned or a pedestrian walking out in front.

Cold gas thrusters are already used where they're useful: where their extreme simplicity and low exhaust temperature is more valuable than their low efficiency and pathetic power density. The MMU used cold gas, for example.

No, we're mocking it because it's dumb.

Let not pretend you are mocking it because of its association with Elon Musk.

If he didn't reveal is politic side 10 years ago I bet you and the rest of reddit would be gushing about it is just like how you people used to with Elon 10 years ago.

Good job indicating your true thought underneath those words.
