This right here, If he'd just left out that tiny little "like some other artists do", we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. But that's being correctly interpreted as a straight-up dig at people like Macklemore and Hayley Williams, who DO stand up for what they believe in even if it costs them fans and money, and that's just the biggest load of bullshit. And he could have just said nothing altogether, which is what he should have done.
