This is my point. If they had said nothing there’s be no problem. Instead they went out of their way to denounce what someone else as saying calling it “bullshit”, and even if that was just a turn of phrase. It really makes them seem like bad actors. So I get why this is rubbing people the wrong way, they could’ve said nothing. Actively making a statement of being neutral is worse than picking a stance. See Ed Sheeran.
Also, art and music has always been political, because when politics debate human rights everything’s political.
