All I can think of is that one panel with Spidey and the Human torch. 'Are they mine?' 'No, but we're going to come back to you thinking that's a possibility'

Johnny knows exactly how to mess with Peter, and the fact that he’d keep that joke going makes it ten times funnier.

The powers of a cat-sized spider or a spider-sized cat

Sounds fucking terrifying and utterly adorable

There have been spiders the size of human heads in prehistory, if that counts, and I guess there’s big enough spiders to count cats/kittens that can fit into the palm of your hand.

There is cute fan art of this but idk if I want to share since I can only find reposts

I wish they had given a kid to peter in isomanic with felicia. This could have bern a good story for spider man 2 (venom, peter and mj taking care of felicia son, felicia, harry)

Unironically Peter balancing being a coparent with Felicia, a relationship with MJ, and all the Spider-Man antics would have been a peak direction for Insomniac to take

u/HospitalLazy1880 10d ago
Mommy told me it was ok to steal from rich jerks.
And thats one of the reasons we spilt kiddo.

u/SwordoftheMourn 10d ago
Man, now I’m disappointed. That would’ve been a fun dynamic especially if you factor the symbiote
7
u/Soft_Theory_8209 9d ago
Not the first time I’ve mentioned that in-game or comic, that would be an incredibly interesting situation. God knows it’d hit a relatable chord for many people who are divorced or children of separated parents IRL.

u/DM-777 9d ago
Plus, it would be really cool to have Peter/MJ or Peter by himself tackling a non-traditional family dynamic.
The drama between MJ and Felicia about taking a parental role would be distinct and fun to explore. Peter maybe wondering if because he has a child with Felicia maybe they should be in a relationship… there’s a lot of unexplored drama that could make every character sympathetic while also having conflict.
And that’s before you add super villains lol

I 100% believe that MJ would (barring extremely out of character reasoning for why the child exists) care for a Peter-Felicia kid like he or she were her own.

But black cat already has a girlfriend
24
u/HospitalLazy1880 10d ago
I call bullshit on that as basically everything Insomniac's Black Cat did and said was a complete fucking lie.
7
u/Prize-Macaroon-903 10d ago
I don’t get how people can say this so confidently when a big theme of the game was villains redeeming themselves
14
u/HospitalLazy1880 10d ago
Cause Black Cat already proved she gives zero shits about others and redeeming herself.
Faking a kid, her death, and almost getting Spidey killed is quite a lot of evidence that shes full of shit.
5
u/Prize-Macaroon-903 10d ago
Erica (Felicia’s actresses) herself said that the “thank you” she gave Miles was an ad-lib to drive home the point of sincerity.
Again, redemption was a big theme of the game.
16
u/HospitalLazy1880 10d ago
Sincerely thanking Miles for bailing her out is not the same as redeeming herself

u/Prize-Macaroon-903 10d ago
The fact that she didn’t manipulate Miles like she did Peter or even try to keep the stolen artifact pretty much drives home she isn’t the same shitty person
8
u/HospitalLazy1880 10d ago
She threw a train at him. She also definitely manipulated him.
2
u/Prize-Macaroon-903 10d ago
A train is mild inconvenience when you’re Spider-Man. And the definition of “manipulate” doesn’t fit what Felicia did, she didn’t control or handle him in a deceptive manner.

You think Peter would be more… responsible
37
u/DishMurky 10d ago
Uncle Ben didn't teach him about great responsibilities before put his great powers on others.

Would have been the first kid they had together(to my knowledge i would love to be wrong)
21
u/Response_Dazzling 10d ago
Don’t take what I say as gospel just in case I’m wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that a writer wanted Felicia to have a kid with Peter during the time they were together, and that Editorial said no because they thought it would make him seem too old
Edit: Referring to comics here

Luck powers + spidersense
Yup, this kid is going to grow up to be a menace

u/unluckyknight13 10d ago
Imagine if while Peter spider sense triggers telling him danger their son triggers telling him the most fortunate options

Steals it, puts it back, steals it again, plants it on Jameson, tries to steal it again to put it where it belongs ends up stealing Jameson's breakfast instead, leaves.

A cool and interesting what if scenario but here is a Fact somewhat related to this: Back when Bill Mantlo was writing for The Specular Spider-Man during in the 80s tried to pitch an idea to Jim Shooter after pitching to his editor an idea with Felicia Hardy becoming pregnant with Peter’s child but Shooter said no because the idea of an Iconic and very well known character like Spider-Man having a child out of wedlock would bring down the wrath of the bible belt down on them, while also scaring away all of Marvel's sponsors who were using Spider-Man as a license although we don’t know what story Bill Mantlo was planning with this pitch nor his intentions of planning this story as unfortunately, he was a victim of a hit and run accident in 1992 that left him with severe brain damage that left him be in institutional care ever since that accident

Would be good if they had a son then Miles will be the teacher when and Peter's son be the student in the spider-mens duo to have Peter get a pre-retirement, then return in spider-man 3 game.

u/Mooston029 10d ago
It'd be cool if the kid also had spider sense wiggly lines like when miles met Peter in into the spiderverse

I'm sorry, I can't get over that caption. It misspoke, but unfortunately, can't correct itself anymore

OH! I lookie would love this how akward would Spider-man 2 be. "Oh yeah Miles thanks for helping my baby mama and her girlfriend"

u/Garua_777 5d ago
That night every every member of the gang turned themselves in after feeling the raw angry dad energy radiating off of Spider-man. They couldn't tell what it was exactly, but they had all crapped themselves

I really don't think that would've improved my opinion of Insomniac Black Cat. At all.
