General Discussion Assuming Vader survived EP VI and Luke somehow convinced the New Republic not to execute him, would Leia have ever been able to reconcile with him?

Its also very easy to forgive someone who is dead. You can make an image of them in your mind that suits whatever narrative you want the most. If Vader lives, though, it might not be that easy

You might want to read the ROTJ infinities comics (in that, Vader survives ROTJ, takes on a white suit, and reconciles with the kids iirc)
