Hong Kong. The 1980s. This was its heyday.

I would have loved to have seen Kowloon Walled City.

Bloodsport! Loved that movie

My first thought as well. Both actually, the city itself and KWC. Must have been crazy in the 90s!

There's an indie horror game set there, titled 'Welcome To Kowloon', if you like horror games.

You can still go to Chungking Mansions. It's not quite like KWC was but there's some of the same feeling.

There's a documentary on YouTube I saw a while back that showed the inside of the buildings and how people lived and worked there. It's quite old but worth the watch.

Uau! Isso me lembra tantos filmes que assistia quando criança!

Boas lembranças!

Bloodsport, for one. Maybe the best look at Kowloon Walled City.

No Brasil os títulos são: "Massacre no Bairro Japonês", "O Grande Dragão Branco", entre outros.

Sucks HK has basically mandated these signs out of existence. I’d have killed to see hong Kong in the 80s

Fantastic first photo. Instantly transported.

Oh man, I could just stare at that first picture all night. There's just something magic about being surrounded by neon lights in the city on a warm night that just feels comforting and nostalgic to me. It also makes me want to listen to some soft jazz and light up a cigarette even though I quit over fifteen years ago.
