Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) TV endings so awful it completely ruins rewatchability of the entire show.

Game of Thrones - Entire season 8 and finale completely ruins the entire narrative and show ends in the worst way possible. It kills desire to rewatch the show.

How I Met Your Mother - Show ends such awful they kill the... the mother. After spending years growing into a loyal partner and father, he instantly reverted to his old womanizing behavior after his divorce. Also he ends up with robin randomly.

The Boys - While not as bad as GOT but the worst aspect is the cheap Vought Rising spin-off tease, pointless storylines and rushed ending which leaves a sour taste. Despite hitting the right points... it feels cheap and not satisfying.

Killing Eve. The last episode is so bad that the most common post in the subreddit these days is people watching it for the first time and going "excuse me but what in the actual fuck was that????" followed by everyone else in the subreddit being like "Yup. Let it out."

They should've stuck to the book ending where they run away together

It still amuses me now how the mysterious, shadowy, powerful cabal that was the driving force behind the whole show….was all luckily on this boat so they could be sorted out off screen in the last 10 minutes of the show.

They are all, each and every single one of them, random people who havent been seen in any way prior. Most of them arent even shown during the massacre scene.

IMO I think it would have been much better to have Carolyn been the one at the top the whole time. It really seems like they were playing with the idea during the fourth season. Make her be "The Twelve." Have everything that happened be on her orders, have Eve's initial investigation be an "off the books" thing that she started to test their security, and everything else tumbled out of that. Reveal that she created The Twelve as a unified, unofficial global intelligence agency that could respond to global threats in violent ways that normal agencies couldn't get away with.

Let me put it this way.

It feels like they were told the show was being canceled halfway through filming the last episode and had to quickly write and film a wrap up.
