Powers [Loved Trope] Humans have something inherently interesting about them instead of being average or the "weak but populous" species.

Also known as "humans are special", this trope is actually rarer than I expected it to be.

1) The humans in the Wake graphic novel series are the only species without telepathic powers, which means they're immune to psi abilities and are hard to detect.

2) In the Grand Central Arena books, while trying to achieve faster than light travel, the crew of a ship end up in the place where all the species of the universe meet. They pretty quickly realize how humans are way more willing to take risks compared to all the other species.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Humans are REALLY busted. And while the lore indicates there are other spiral races, we only ever see the Anti-Spirals, who have abandoned that path, and Boota, who eventually evolves into a humanoid form.

Basically, while the specific species “Homo Sapien” is not unique, the body plan of a human is the evolutionary zenith for channeling Spiral Power, the power of growth and evolution that can dwarf entire universes

Universes. They just weren’t sure how to draw those, so they look like galaxies. Also, they span 11 spatial dimensions rather than the standard 3.

That mech (Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) has also been directly stated to be larger than the observable universe by multiple sources.
