Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) Autism is the best thing ever

  1. Because of her autism, music's worldview is really innocent and positive with bright colours and these stupid dances whilst in real life she gets chocked out by her "caretaker" (Music)

  2. Most videos Dhar Mann has on autism have them being these really smart people that solve a test or a spelling bee or win a competition

It also doesn't show the reality of what it is like.

You're always at fault.

You're frequently used as a slash toy.

Nobody understands you.

Extra rules exist for you but not everyone else.

And to the person who responded that got removed... Thank you for not only proving my point but writing my argument for me and delivering it gift wrapped to my front step first class.

the rules are imposed more strongly for y'all because y'all have a deficit in plastic thinking. Whenever the rules are removed, your deficit in social emotional intelligence causes you to blunder. "oh we're cursing at work? I'm gonna say something crazy to the boss" or "we're roughhousing? I'm going to literally punch this guy in the nose" "water gun fight? I'm gonna spray this random lady who's not playing in the face" "we're sharing about trauma? I can't tell that it's lighthearted trauma bonding, so I'm going to talk for 20 minutes about my molestation" these are real examples I've seen from autistic adults.

You guys don't have the social skills to be "fucking normal" when the rules are removed, and I'm sorry you don't know what normal is, but you need to recognize that you have a disability and not get mad at the world for this unfairness. just gracefully accept that you don't get it and do the best with what you have

When I grew up i used to see kids who were diagnosed autistic being beaten on and they weren't punished cause "You weren't hurting them."

This was the 90s - when a radical idea called "Mainstreaming" was gaining traction.
