I’ve noticed that Tunisians seem to have become increasingly rude, irritable, and aggressive lately. A question to the high schoolers here on reddit: Don’t you think it’s about time you guys start getting involved and speak up against the miserable conditions you study in? The lack of edtech equipments in class, the lack of lab materials, the long school days, the pathetic Sunday standing erect trying to cosplay as a weekend, the lousy curriculum and its lack of creativity windows. The fact that the curriculum doesn’t relate to any of the latest pedagogical innovations, nor does it aspire to apply the 21st century learner life skills, the crowded classrooms and most importantly the shitty conditions of schools!
I myself, as a teacher, get depressed every time I walk into my school, I am not asking for too much, just a freshly painted classroom, and I am willing to buy all the resources that I need. And you guys aren’t bothered by anything ?

Teachers are preparing for an upcoming national movement, and though they did mention the necessity to create a budget for annual school maintenance, but the highlight is mainly on remuneration, and yes I agree that the salary isn’t enough, but also, the state of our schools should be our main priority for the time being. And that point would be further proven if you guys organize something on the same day and highlight this ( it has to be pre-organized, and the police station needs to be notified, and make sure you don’t hold up any offensive slogans, and most importantly, don’t engage in violence)
I am not saying to look up dreamily to your colonizer and follow their footsteps, but I am also saying that you should speak up!!
