Next year I wanna try something new.

I've been a cosplayer since 2009, but I'm not used to armors and LEDs. This year I did Hawks (Boku no Hero Academia), with robot wings, and now I want "bolder" adventures.

I had some ideas to start, but all had small issues:

- Buzz Lightyear: Nice armor, LEDs, face showing, everybody knows, very easy to create performances for competitions, BUT I'm not a really big fan of the character. Idk why.

- Nautilus (League of Legends): LEDs on joints and eyes, everybody knows, easy to create performances, BUT maybe it's too difficult for a beginner in armor, and I don't like to cover my face.

- Mr. Freezee (Batman: Arkham Origins): A lot of leds, nice weapon, showing face, I love this makeup, medium to create performances solo, BUT it has a lot of details (it's easy to make a mistake), and I have the impression no one will know who I'm in the events, cuz this game is more than 10 years old.

- Jayce Arcane Survivor (League of Legends): Amazing weapon (I can put some LED and rotating gear in it), good armor, showing face, nice makeup, it's really in the mainstream, BUT I kind of hate the character, hahaha, and his weapon looks really difficult.

I would love some ideas to improve these ones, OR new character ideas (within this background standard).

Heyo, recently a friend told me i give Maki vibes so now im curiouse could i pull it of with my Bodytype to make it fit?

me and my gf can’t make up our minds on what our next cosplay should be. we have done link and zelda, nana and ren, cloud and tifa, batman and catwoman, we need something new, something fresh. save us!!! oh and bonus points if character has goatee cuz i never shave when we do cosplays

I am thinking who out of my “ i haven’t done this yet” option would suit me best.
My plan was Yue , but I think atp i’ll be dubbed as the white hair bishonen person.

I don’t mind it though but I am not sure how much it’ll suit me.

I've done a few cosplays in the past but they were really amateur lol. And I also planning on doing amythest from steven universe this year with my bf as steven.

5'7" (in shoes) 160LBS, dropping down to 145lbs soon.

Hi there! This post seems different than any other post on this subreddit so please let me know if I should take this down! I have this wig I got to wear to prom ages ago (my hair was really short at the time and didn't look good with my dress), and obviously I don't need it anymore given this was about four years ago. This wig has been rotting in my closet but I've recently started cosplaying so I'd like to repurpose it in some way. I don't necessarily need a cosplay any time soon but I can't think of many characters who might fit this hair. I'm open to dying the wig as well but unless I'm going full black, the black ends would be kept. I'd love to hear ideas for any fandom, however I am mostly interested in anime! I like video games too but mostly games like League, Overwatch, Identity V, or Genshin lol

So far I've cosplayed Tweek from South Park, Makoto from Persona 5, and I'm currently working on a Neeko from League of Legends!

So I love doing quite obscure cosplays for Cons and such, but when doubling these up for Fancy Dress Events (I don't want to say Halloween Parties but... yeah, Halloween Parties) having to explain your outfit every time gets old fast.

So can anyone think of a character that would suit me, would still be suitably impressive, but also would be generally recognisable? Coz I really have no ideas

My main issue is hair — there are no wigs in my country, the only one I have is a black one with bangs, which i can alter a bit as in the pics so I don’t have much flexibility in this range.

I am ok with any gender (I am female but open to any). I am also down for makeup and wigs and I am versatile. But honestly I want to hear from all of you on who do you think I should cosplay as. Let me know down below and I will look into it.

A convention is coming up soon and I need some cosplay ideas 😭

Last year I cosplayed Yor, and the year before I did Tomie, mostly because I had long black hair. Now my hair is long and brown, still with bangs, and I have no idea who to cosplay next.

i was even thinking about either Nobara or Shoko from jjk but my hair are WAY too long and i look good only with certain wigs🥹

I’m South East Asian and kinda tan, so characters with a similar skin tone would probably work better for me, but I’m also open to characters who are paler. I’d prefer anime/manga characters since i don’t really watch a lot of movies or play lots of games :’)

Please give me some ideas because I’m genuinely struggling 😭
