Welcome, new Xennials! Did you just find the subreddit? Just now learn that you’re a Xennial?! Is it suddenly all making sense? We know this feeling! Feel free to introduce yourself here.
Since we get thousands of new subscribers per month, we kindly ask that introductions go in this thread rather than as top-level posts.

Have a good relationship with one of the waiters and it went like this:
Him: "oh that's sick!"
Me: excited he knows what The Crow is "Thanks man! Definitely OG!"
Him: "what's it from"
Me: shake my head in sadness and old
Edit: I also have a few Crow tattoos that I'm realizing now I'd have to fully explain. My shame is boundless.

With all of the social, political, and economic upheaval both domestically and abroad, and all else affecting us both mentally and physically, I must ask…
Isn’t it just really really difficult to justify throwing out a very good-quality cardboard box? You might could need it and use it eventually, am I right? What are we doing with our premo cardboard boxes? I might be high on this Sunday, but so is my stack of nice, thick, sharp-cornered cardboard boxes in the attic. Stacked up like nesting dolls just waiting for something not currently inside of a good cardboard box to go inside of a good cardboard box.

So, this may be a long shot, but my Xennial husband and I are watching a TV show that takes place in Chicago, and there is, inevitably, a scene that prominently displays the “L train” or “elevated train.”
I turned to my husband and explained that every time I see that train in the context of Chicago, I instantly think of The Fugitive. He said he does the same.
It was a crucial discovery that furthered the plot, and, for two people from very different backgrounds, it was still novel enough to both of us (one from the South and one from the west) that it really seared into our brains.
Anyone else afflicted with the “L train” Fugitive intrusive thoughts?

Xennials are all in their 40’s now.
Name something you have removed from your life since your youth.

Now that we can all spin up websites with Ai so easily we should all focus on building our own sites and then just link to each other. Forego Facebook or other accounts and just manicure your own place.

I just had a sudden flashback of a frog filled with sand that I used to have. Its toe had a little hole in it, so I had it taped up so it wouldn't leak sand everywhere. Anyone else remember these things?

Is it cracking anyone else up hearing INCREDIBLY inappropriate songs from our youth used in commercials now? Like did anyone approving this listen to the lyrics? There was I think an Apple ad using the Pixie’s Gigantic a few years ago that killed me.

I’ve been wanting a plasma orb since the 90s when I saw one at Spencer’s.

I think about this game at least once every other week, still to this day. I’d love to find a way to play it again.

To show my 12 year old nephew. A quintessential movie representative of the 80s. Has a solid 80s soundtrack, stars someone at the top of their game and the plot is not a fantasy or sci-fi but includes depiction of real (or semi-real) life in the 80s.
