Hey guys, it’s just a public warning. They are being investigated by the animal services but anyone who is a dog owner I just wanna bring it to your attention luxury pet spa in Richmond Hill operates as a grooming service and an animal daycare. I passed the window watching two animals eating each other’s feces unsupervised unsanitary. I caught her on video but imagine how long this has been going and dogs potential to get parasites for this. if any mods actually take this video down that’s just really disgusting because it’s literally public awareness so people can be seen what it actually looks like when you pay for service and nobody’s watching your dog
Please share video so people are aware
of such place

For months I have been seeing a large increase in animal abuse on social media, my algorithm for some reason is just pushing it constantly which I guess is for generating revenue. It has come up before but not as much. Every time I open Facebook, instagram, etc the first thing that comes up is a video of someone torturing an animal. I do not react or comment on anything. In the past week I have seen raccoon dogs skinned alive, elephants tortured and starved for tourism, dogs being hung (for whatever sick reason), fish flailing about as they are being chopped up, lab testing facilities. And Something that particularly makes angry is circuses because it’s a life of slavery and torture and making animals do such unnatural forced acts.. I’m sick of it, i know there are millions of people out there who think the same as us here, but its starting to make me feel disgusted as a species that we can be so destructive and evil for the sake of profit or dominance. It’s making me ashamed to be human and i hate how we place so much value and morality over our own compared to anything else we share this world with.
I have deleted these apps now so I am not someone who cannot live without them, however it is hard because it’s a link to family and friends and by just living in the 21st century world. I also just find it infuriating anyway that there are a lot of videos and posts that I do enjoy watching/reading and this has ruined it despite clicking I’m not interested, but it just doesn’t do anything. Might I add, a lot of these pages are genuine awareness and rights organisations which I have respect for. And I know there will be some who say I’m just ignoring the problem by not wanting to see it, but I am aware of it, I hate it, and there is nothing I can do to stop it worldwide. I thought i would be desensitised to it by now but I’m not, it’s something that triggers me on another level. I think there should be a line where you can be aware but not have to see it every day online as it’s really impacting me. Every night now when I turn everything off for sleep, I lay there thinking about what i have saw and I can’t get it out of my head.

I’m trying to figure out where I want to donate to help animals this year, so I created a handy little table for myself to make it easy to understand what impact my donation would have if given to a selection of organizations. (Se my previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/EffectiveAltruism/comments/1x7mqdz/what_would_you_all_say_is_the_most_effecitve_way/ ) Thought this might also be a useful / motivational sheet for some of you to see.
Darker green = The three that feel like the biggest overall impact for 10$ to me.
The list is mostly the organizations recommended by Animal Charity Evaluators. https://animalcharityevaluators.org/recommended-charities/ with some I have personally donated to in the past added in to make them comparable to me. Data for most is also from Animal Charity Evaluators, estimates for Veganuary is from their 2026 Report, estimate for Local Sanctuary is from Google.

It is the same old human story: create the mess, mine another species for answers, and call the whole thing progress.

🚨🐾 MEMPHIS HAS BEEN FOUND — BUT NOW WE HAVE SOME SERIOUS QUESTIONS! 🐾🚨
❤️ First, the GOOD NEWS! MEMPHIS IS ALIVE AND HAS BEEN FOUND! Unfortunately, he was shot. 💔
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON OCTOBER 15TH:
On October 15, in Muncie, Indiana, police reportedly fired THREE SHOTS at Memphis, a young, friendly Pit Bull who was on his own property.
Terrified, Memphis ran away, leaving his family desperately searching and fearing the worst.
Thankfully, Memphis has now been located, but we have learned that HE WAS HIT BY ONE BULLET.
🚨 NOW HERE'S THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION:
IF POLICE FIRED THREE SHOTS AND MEMPHIS WAS HIT ONCE… WHERE DID THE OTHER TWO BULLETS GO?!
⚠️ We're talking about a firearm being discharged in the middle of a populated Muncie neighborhood!
What about the safety of nearby residents, children, and other innocent bystanders?
🐾 I'm incredibly thankful Memphis has been found, but I believe this incident deserves answers, transparency, and accountability.
MUNCIE, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
❤️ Please keep Memphis and his family in your thoughts as he recovers.
