Already dropped off my ballot. As a registered Republican, I voted straight blue. Sick of the MAGAs.

I typically voted democrat in elections, but this was the first time I voted a straight ticket rather than selecting each candidate individually. Anyone who puts their name to the Republican ticket nowadays might as well be waiving an “I support treason” flag. Because anyone who is a Republican on the ballot is implicitly saying they support Trump.

Are you also moving to Cuba or North Korea? You will fit right in.

You're the people with a dear leader obsession bro. You're the authoritarian fascists destroying America. You are far closer to north Korea than us. I don't think they love pedos as much as you guys tho

Do you wear a "I'd rather be Russian than Democrat" T-shirt? You might as well.

Amen! Same! And I even wrote all my Congress people and representatives to let them know I would be doing this and why.

Some of the responses I got back were really lame. Such as I brought up the Canadian tariffs and the response was my congressperson was doing what was best for the people. Utter BS.

Thank you for doing your civic duty. We're all human first and American second.

u/Important-Factor-552 3h ago

That's gonna mean more and more every year as humanity faces some serious challenges post holocene epoch

It’s a big tent and we will accept anyone, except Nazis.

My hats off to you. True republican.

You’re my hero!

u/Immediate_String_722 8h ago

Hope you can find some decent people. Good people on both sides are critical.

u/Ordinary-Hopeful 6h ago

Let me know when the GOP has one.

Damn straight. I'm a fiscal conservative. Never voted red since I saw where the money was going, but I really do hope Republicans can get back their fiscal roots.

I really do t understand this. The Republicans have consistently failed at being fiscally conservative. They continually jack up the debt time and time again.

Now that you are wiser, perhaps take a look at the economy and fiscal policies passed under red and blue administrations of the near past. You will see the democrats and their policies have benefited you and the economy more than the republicans. I'm not asking you to change your values. I'm asking you to revaluate who truly aligns with your values.

1

u/Merrcury2 2h ago

Yup. I consider leveling the playing field to be better for the economy. Still, I do see limits.

When we look at global economics, we are truly behind on research and development. I work in electronics, and it's a shitshow compared to Chinese technology.

So, I'd focus our finances on education and specialize in fields that would make us competitive. And that includes taking down the moats built up by our current technofascists. Loosen patent laws, invest in up and comers rather than tax subsidies for wasteful megacorps.

Thank you.

u/Lead-Engineer 3h ago

Red man it’s red . You hanging with Omar or something?

1

u/TheRandomSong 2h ago

Please don't let it be a one time thing. Someone said the country defaults to Republicans and it's so true. Don't default, choose with facts and history

1

u/Jean-Luc-1701 1h ago

Here comes the "As a republican I voted democrat" propaganda

1

u/Nart_Leahcim 7h ago

MAGA already won, we're past that. This is a delusional take.

1

u/k12pcb 8h ago

Thankyou

1

u/LS_944 6h ago

I’ve been doing this since 2016. Won’t vote red until maga is dead.

0

u/Timely-College-5360 5h ago

Voting blue is actually pretty fucking gay.

2

u/T-D-Leon 4h ago

Id say the opposite actually. Why do you think grindr goes down wherever a republican convention is.

1

u/Timely-College-5360 3h ago

Yea repubs are hella gay too, the liberal mind virus wants you to think otherwise though.

1

u/angelaga1n 5h ago

Republican who can’t think of a single other reason to get people to vote red ^

0

u/Soggy_Disaster_4623 7h ago

who did you vote for

-1

u/Important-Factor-552 3h ago

Too much winning for you? No more waving make liberals cry again flags, eh? Sick of god emperor trump huh?

Wow, who could have seen that coming.. 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/SystematicDragons 2h ago

What exactly is the point of this response? If we're going to rid ourselves of the MAGA disease it's going to take coming together, including Republicans who want better from their party, to push them out.

It can't be easy to openly say you're a Republican willing to vote Blue, but we absolutely need them if we're going to be successful. I for one appreciate the honesty and the vote.

1

u/174Angel 2h ago

Actually I have been voting blue since 2018. The GOP lost me a long time ago.

1

u/Important-Factor-552 1h ago

They've always been heinous. Idk why you say that as if it's gonna salvage some semblance of respect here. Screw anyone who's ever voted for the Republicans.

Traitor. DSA is not the way.
