Yo Perth Heavy Music Fans!

This one’s gonna be fun!

Fresh from a big year in 2025 supporting bands such as The Ghost Inside, Bleed From Within, Thrown, Graphic Nature, and Half Me, and releasing their singles ‘Vile Embrace’ and ‘Stained’, Perth Deathcore outfit Our Demise return to the stage on June 6th at Amplifier Bar to launch their latest 3 track ‘Despondence’.

Joining them will be heavy hitters Seek Misery travelling from South Australia, alongside upcoming Perth acts Furety and Grout.

Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Our Demise presents a devastatingly heavy blend of modern and traditional deathcore and metallic hardcore, quickly solidifying their place as one of the cities’ heaviest up-and-coming young acts, with their hard-hitting breakdowns, tight rhythms, breathtaking vocals, and high energy live shows captivating audiences.

I've been living in Australia for 10 years, and not once have I seen any metalhead here talking about Nevermore.

And recently they've announced their reunion (with some new members), so I've been contacting all gig promoters to bring them here, and most have told me that they're not popular enough here.

In my opinion, they're a top-tier band, and Warrel was one of the greatest vocalists of all time, so I don't know why they never broke into Aus.

Looks interesting!

For fans of: Ministry, Fear Factory, White Zombie, Killing Joke, Rammstein, Napalm Death, Pitch Shifter, Skrew, 3teeth, Prong, Strapping Young Lad, Meathook Seed, Nailbomb, Red Harvest, Unsane...

Brand new EP out on the 7th. Also plenty more music on the bandcamp to listen to and purchase so more music can get made!

I never thought I'd actually need to use reddit in my life but here I am...

My favourite Black Metal album of all time, Horned Lord of the Thorned Castle (Moonlight Sorcery) is available for pretty damn cheap online - 29.30 euro (about 41 bucks) for a sexy ass blue vinyl but the shipping costs from Finland are pretty cooked, 18 euro.

Basically, I was wondering if any Sydney metalheads would also be looking to get a copy, so I could order a couple and we could split the shipping costs to all get awesome vinyls cheap? lmk, here's the link: :D

On behalf of my metal band Scene Thru Sleep, who fuckin love Berserk, we wish to announce our new single 'THE ECLIPSE', which dives into the dark world of Berkserk during the events of the eclipse. We hope you dig it!

My band Bubble sKum just realised our a music video for our first single GIRLs!

It's a super fun upbeat track blending electronic elements with heavy bass and guitars. Accompanied by a fun, bright, childish and colourful video with a spooky liminal undertone. We are a girl band blending choreography with playing instruments. Please let me know what you think!!! ♥️🥳

The only thing I love more than covering Australian metal is covering hometown metal! The album comes out today so check it out and hit up the launch show this weekend if you like it :)

Likely going to get chewed for this but I go to a lot of Gigs, mostly metal.

Why are the pits so dead the past few years?

Everyone just stands there still, if you're lucky youre get a tiny circle pit, walls of death are limp.

I went to a non-metal gig last week and by the music gods the entire standing audience was sooooo much more active.

Makes me feel bad for the performers, not going to lie.

I'm a small-time reviewer from Melbourne and it's always a pleasure to cover Australian bands since we have so many great ones!
