Computer Backup Inherit Backup State button not operating on MacOS 27
I am experiencing an issue on a brand new MacOS 27 Mac - I've installed the latest Mac Backblaze client, and am following their instructions for inheriting the backup from my old Mac. When I got to settings, I see the button to Inherit, but clicking it does absolutely nothing.
Tried re-installing, restarting, etc, no dice. Curious if this issue has shown up for anyone else.

Hey I am sorry you got bitten by this new bug, there is a workaround that may get you moving in the meantime.
If the Inherit Backup State button does nothing, that usually means the
bzbmenuprocess is not running correctly. If the following steps do not resolve the issue, reply to your existing support ticket with “Ask a person” so it gets routed to a human for follow-up.But before that, try this:
/Library/Backblaze.bzpkg/bzbmenu.appbzbmenu.appIf the menu icon still does not appear, open Terminal and run these one at a time:
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/LaunchAgents/com.backblaze.bzbmenu.plistsudo /bin/launchctl bootstrap gui/$(id -u) /Library/LaunchAgents/com.backblaze.bzbmenu.plistEnter your Mac administrator password when prompted. Terminal will not display the password while you type it, which is normal.
After that, check the menu bar again and retry Inherit Backup State.
There was a change in macOS 27 that we’re in the process of integrating with, and the next client release is expected to include a fix for this behavior. Until then, this workaround may help, I’ve had success with it for some other users seeing the same issue, but I don’t want to promise it will work in every case.
Again, I am sorry that you got hit with this annoyance, rest assured we are working on it.
