Why does everyone seem to have the Fear Agent LEs and Plague of Frogs OHCs except me

I have the Fear Agent LEs myself. I settled and got the plague of frogs SCs. Difficult to justify the HCs at the prices they’re going for these days.

I got them couple years ago. Fear Agent hadn't been announced for a TV series yet so they were a bit easier to come by. PoF was kinda just lucky, my lcs has 1,2,4 and I was able to track 3 down for a reasonable amount.

Sweet. Are those plague of frogs the HCs? If so, those cost a pretty penny at the moment. I just settled for the softcovers. Also, wish I got the harrow county library editions when they were all in print. Haven’t found a good deal on it yet. Very jealous of your xo manowar. Those are hard to get.

They are the HCs. I lucked out and found 1,2,4 at my lcs for cover. Searched for 3 for a while and finally tracked it down! Also fell in love with harrow county so those were day one purchases. X-O was complete dumb luck, found all 1-5 at a used bookstore.

Man I want to strangle you right now. Twice you got lucky as hell. Great finds. I can’t complain though. I got the X-men inferno OHC for $128 and starman 1-6 for $150 which are unbeatable deals. I’m trying to get these valiant deluxe editions but so many are OOP and going for crazy prices. Would kill to have those X-O volumes. That’s at the top of my list at the moment.

Damn, those are great finds. Especially jealous of starman! I stumbled onto the first one, read it, loved it, than facepalmed when i started searching for the rest. I was on the hunt for a while to collect the valiant universe after I fell in love with X-O. But ultimately put it on the back burner. Been enjoying the valiant universe, just not actively collecting physical.

I actually found a copy of wrath of the eternal warrior deluxe edition today for cover at my LCS. Happy about that. If you ever decide to sell XO, hit me up.

I just got xo 1-5, Ninjak vol 2, ivar, and armor hunters for $350 so it’s all good now. Pricy purchase but I’m happy with that deal.

You think the Jason Aaron Star Wars omni is worth it? Had my eye on that for a while.
Also had no idea there were 3 volumes of superior Spider-Man!

I thought it was pretty good. Not the biggest star wars nerd which might of helped in that, haha. One of my buddy's who is thought it was okay but complained about a few things. It went great paired with Darth Vader too!

Honestly it's just construction lumber. I wanted something big and without supports in the middle of the shelves. I figured 1x lumber would buckle under the weight of something this wide, so 2x12s it was. I also based is off my desk which is the same lumber with black iron pipe legs.

Mine are construction lumber as well. I overbuilt them, 2 of ‘em both built like tanks, but in my defense I’ve seen far too many POS shelving products over the years.
I think it’s your staining that really kills it for me. I can’t believe how long I debated over staining vs painting, but finally settled on black to match with all the framed artwork/comics I’ve got hanging in my room.

They look great! I debated painting or staining and ultimately settled on stain. Love wood-grain too much to cover it up, and had already used that stain for my desk so... haha

Yeah, it was super lucky. I got volume one on IST, read it and loved it, and found volumes 2+3 on ebay for a steal.

Love that placement of White Knight at an angle with the Murphy statue there too. Do you have something preventing the books to the right from falling over and crushing the statue? I feel like every time I get fancy in my placement of books, it never stays up.

Brubaker and Rucka are two of my favorite writers!! I unfortunately had to let vol 1+2 of criminal and fatale go a few months ago for bills.. but hearing the criminal reprint put a smile on my face!

Thanks! And not atm unfortunately. I found it heavily discounted and figured why not for that price. Then when the Bendis reprints happened I wasn't on top of grabbing them. Then Brubaker vol 1 got hard to find. And now I'm not buying much new till I read through more of my collection, haha. So now I just have Brubaker vol 2 chillin by it's lonesome. I do want to start DD digitally because I have heard so much good about it. And maybe if I fall for it I'll upgrade to the omnis XD

I get you! My backlog is expanding much faster than I can manage. Brubaker Vol. 1 is unfortunately OOP but both Bendis Omnibus are back in stock almost everywhere.

Yeah, the collector in me is kicking myself for not grabbing Brubaker Vol 1 when I easily had the chance.. but oh well. and I didn't realize Bendis was back in stock... Must resist urge, hahaha

Beautiful presentation. Shelf seems to hold up super well. Always see a lot of cubes on here but like the long shelves in this bookshelf a lot!

Thank you! I don't mind the look of cubes but when i went about looking at IKEA/ Walmart i just wasn't stoked on the quality : / I also wanted something BIG. I'm by no means a carpenter but i know my way around a miter saw and power drill so i figured id try making my own, and love how it came out.

Haha, thank you so much! i love this sub, I've literally thought the same thing scrolling here. Started with Image and DC trades around the New 52 era. Got into hardcover/ oversize a couple years ago with image deluxes and GL / JSA Omnis
Favorite 5 in no particular order

-Green Lantern
-Aaron's Thor
- X-O Manowar

Thank you!! I've put off uploading for so long because I was always chasing more and it never felt complete, haha. Finally with quarantine I'm realizing the chase is one thing but actually enjoying what you have is more important. So I've mostly taken a break from buying and have been reading alot more. Also have sold some whales that I 'needed' for my collection but had no interest in reading.

Great collection. I can see you enjoy Batman: White Knight quite a bit.
