OC Why didn't you say so?

Best medical advice I ever got was to bring a man to your appointments

Seal...back up? What? I'm a labor nurse and I've never heard that. If your water is broken, it's broken

They probably assumed she partially lost her mucus plug and didn't know what she was talking about. I've met some rather incompetent L&D staff.

So also a labor and delivery nurse and it does occasionally happen - but I've only seen it happen when there was a high small leak in someone who was early and put on bed rest, steroids, etc. It doesnt happen when youve got a gusher 😂 my rule of thumb was to believe mom, even if she didnt look like she was in labor, until it was proven otherwise. Cause I have been surprised more than once!

TIL! Haven't seen it happen to any of my PPROMers yet but that would be cool.

I'm still relatively new to the profession so I'm learning things all the time.

But yeah I would be shocked if it happened right before actual, term labor

Oh I dont think its possible outside of slow leak in a pprom situation... can you imagine going from a big gush 3 days after the due date to, well I guess it sealed itself up, gotta go home! 😂
