Isn't chook also used to refer to chickens?
2 u/Fine-Tomato3584 Aug 29 '26 Yea chook is chicken in Australian / New Zealand English. But in the context of calling a person that, it isn't calling them a 'chicken' for some reason. For that we just still say chicken. Eg. Roast chook.
