Discussion Education and Water first for City Council
Be the change you want to see in the world lol
So I posted earlier complaining because there are 16 candidates for city council?! I felt lost
In the end, I personally decided to go for these 3 candidates because they support education and the environment
One even spoke with me personally!
Sammy Gonzales is young, but i like his passion and willingness to talk to ANYONE! Bro legit spent like 30 minutes chatting with me this morning! Just talking about local issues
We NEED that energy
Please take the time to go vote, our city needs change and WE are the change
P.s. I made this in canva

Politics Non-partisan November Voting Guide Cheat Sheet!
I know voting can feel overwhelming or confusing, but the two worst things you can do are to NOT vote at all, and to vote without knowing anything about what the candidates stand for. Here I've shared a link to a non-partisan voting guide that provides brief descriptions of each candidate with information that seems to be pulled directly from their websites. It makes it easy to see whose ideals you agree with without having to spend hours scouring websites and news bytes. And for those who do want more in-depth info, each entry has a link to the candidate's website. Let's get informed, and then go out and vote!

Pets Found pups, near St. Andrews and Holly
I've found two pups, about 4 months old in the neighborhood. They're extremely well trained, fed, cared for, and socialized, so I don't think they were abandoned.
If you know who these pups belong to, please message me so we can get in contact. Someone in the city is very upset they're missing.

Politics Early voting starts today!
If you can take advantage of early voting, do it! The wife and I just did it. No lines, a painless process all of the way 'round. The poll workers said that it's been an unusually good turnout for the first day. Mine was the 201st ballot of the day at my local polling location.

Politics CC district 4 Candidate Stacie Garrecht
District 4 represents the island, Flour Bluff and the area on the Corpus Christi Bay along Ocean Drive. Against desalination to protect wetlands, bays and the gulf, also against industry’s water needs being prioritized over the water needs of the people, Stacie Garrecht in my opinion, is the best option to serve district 4. For me desalination is out of the question. The accompanying picture is from her website. The entire Corpus Christi area is a precious and unique nature ecosystem and should be protected at all costs. People and the cities needs such as water, roads, parks, libraries etc…The city should come first, before industrial needs, their hush hush tax breaks and quiet deals of water promises that the public is not informed about, should not be renewed. Stop electing people who are for desal inner harbor, and who belong to a PAC and who are most likely getting kickbacks from industry. Corpus Christi should be problem solvers and absolutely look further into alternative water sources and not allow industries to have the water before the people.

Discussion Intersection of Saratoga and Arline smells like farts
Idk where exactly it is coming from. Very strong though. Is there some kind of sewage or gas leak situation going on?

Jobs Yet Another Employment Post (Any Legal World Connections?)
Hi everyone!
Jobs are as dry as lake Corpus but oh how I try.
I'm shooting my shot anyway.
I'm currently working on my paralegal certification but am open to other aspects in the legal field. What law firms here are good for employment? Does anyone reading this post know office work connections? Heck even a liveable wage for receptionist work is something I would snatch up right now. My employment is with a company that is currently a sinking ship and I'm preparing for the inevitable. Any suggestions and recommendations help.
Thank you if you read this far. Cheers!

Moving To CC Townhomes in CC
Moving to Corpus
Hey y’all, I’m moving to corpus here soon in about a month. I was wondering what areas people recommend to live in and what places I should avoid. Ideally, I’m looking for a townhome to rent rather than just an apartment! I’ve been looking at LaTwenty 7 Homes, Seaglass, Ariza, and Retreat so far but wanted pros/cons on those and any other recommendations!
Any and all suggestions are welcome and any advice of the area!

At HEB
Two scantily clad young women at the check out counter found a new way to waste my time but I didn't mind. The party balloons they were buying wouldn't scan, and after the clerk manually keyed the item in they let them go and couldn't reach the dangling string. They did a little series of bouncy hops in hopes of jumping high enough, but no; at last one climbed the counter, and retrieve the lost balloons, leaving the line of men behind grinning.

Does she live there?
Today I saw the tiny, elderly Asian woman who walks to a local park to feed birds every morning walking toward me, her attire worn and practical as always. Gray sweat pants, a long-sleeved pull over top. I waved. She usually has a few bread crumbs for my dog and apologized profusely one morning when the birds had cleaned her out. "So sorry, so sorry,' she said more to the dog than me. So now, she always saves a few.
She waved back. I smiled, but was occupied by a dog issue and glanced away. When I looked back at the sidewalk, she was gone. Only one place was possible. She had gone into one of the finest houses on Big Shot Dr. She may work there but in my heart I want her living there and maybe she does. What fine gardens.
