Weekly Thread Weekly Thread: Self-Promotion Thread

What is this thread?

While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.

How does it work?

You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.

The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. Please keep in mind that comments made early friday morning will be wiped soon so it would be wise to wait until the new post is made so that your comment is visible for the week.

Example Template:

Name Giraffe Sheep
Content Type Mods
Description A description of your content or a specific piece of content
Link A direct link to your content (Note: For mods, only use trusted websites or it might get removed.)

We bought a new plot of land to make a new field. And it's a big one, by our standards at least. We rented a log trailer, fired up the chainsaw and cleared all the trees and shrubs so the Deutz could plow the ground up. Because it was full of stones, we brought the Merlo along to clear them all out. (Picture of the whole field on the last snap)

We are going to try and double crop the big field this year. We are going to try Oats and winter wheat.

Then it was time to finely unload all the bins from the potatoes we sold last year, so we could put them in the new shed we built. We also got a new lime spreader for the big field, the other spreader will be used exclusively for fertilizer from now on.

The potato field is plowed and seeded again. Maybe it's the last year we are doing potatoes, we don't know yet. Maybe we keep doing them for nostalgic reasons.

The Merlo also got a new coat of pain. We went with yellow because the paint guy had a bunch of yellow leftover from a former client. It also needed new tires so we went to the tire shop to order them.

The sales person made us an offer to switch the whole fleet over to Michelin. So we'll soon be running on premium tires on all our vehicles.

The Merlo and the Deutz are the first ones to receive new tires and I must say, they run pretty good on the steep fields we have here.

LF - HELP What can I do to expand?

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Hi all,
I am playing for already 100 hours on this map and I want to expand.

Currently i use field 18, 15 and 125 for my 210 cows on farm 137 and field 93, 94 and 96 for my 300 cows on farm 80.

Good for about 1,7 million liters of maize silage.

For sidehustles i run the 250 animal sheepbarn on field 99 and i have 2 fields for barley for some extra cash.

All the big equipment like the forage harvester, combine and slurry applicator are all bought, not leased.

I already run a dairy but the milkproduction is way too high for a dairy to fully benefit from it. (Total milk production is 76.500L milk per month but 1 dairy, bottled milk, uses only 4.800L per month.

Maybe some special crops or something but i don't know what's the most fun.

And, what equipment should i replace? Castlereagh is running on medium equipment so i dont want to maximise everything.

[Map: Castlereagh, console]

It has bean a minute, the soybeans was a great idea from this big field it yielded 65,957l the smaller field of soybenas is still harvesting

i have question when i go to the bigger field and press h it says no field detected all field no line assist ,no ai worker never had such a problem with other fields just this one

also now running pest infestation mod dont know how much of an impact it will have on the gameplay,

its crazy that i used almost 2.2million liters of fertilizer

I rarely now use john deere because after 32 hours i dont remember which mod douse that but if the tractor not maintained properly it keeps turning off very annoying if the worker uses it and the maintenance is more and more expensive each time sad to say but it will probably leave the farm or be talisman of the farm dident think that far yet

Discussion Does we finally have a great farming simulator on a portable console

Well for me yes, it’s farming simulator signature edition, it’s literally FS25 without multiplayer it’s not as good as console version of FS25 but it’s still better than mobile version with controller support, it even supports mods, the only problem is the limit of 2000 slots but even on ps5 they have limited slots.

Discussion 🛻 In Need of your FS gaming experience opinions & Support 🚜

Hello FS players,

Hope your week kicked off smoothly. Last week, I posted about this same call for support and received a lot of corrections in the comments about using an AI-generated one, which I have done.

My name is Forti Aristide, and I’m a bachelor’s student in Agribusiness at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

I am carrying out research to understand the role of gamification, and an example like Farming Simulator, in raising young people’s awareness and engagement in agriculture, and I need your gaming experience and opinions.

With approval from GIANTS Software and the Moderators, I would like to invite active Farming Simulator players to spare me their time in a relaxed, informal online discussion lasting approximately 20–25 minutes, scheduled at a time that suits them.

I will really appreciate the insights of minimum 15 players, but the more, the better.

The discussion/interview will be conducted via Zoom (audio/video), in English. With your CONSENT, it will be recorded or not and will focus on:

• open-ended questions about your gaming experiences,

• basic demographics,

• what you enjoy about the game,

• how realistic you find its farming activities,

• and whether playing has shaped your interest in agriculture.

This will help me develop a short questionnaire for the next phase of my research, which will be open to all who can spare me 5 minutes to answer.

❗️❗️This is independent academic research. I have no affiliations with any company and do not promote any products. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be handled confidentially.

There are no right or wrong answers; I’m interested in your honest opinions and will avoid collecting any specific personal data.

Interested in participating? Please send me a private message or contact me at:

[aristide-nyongkaa.forti@hsrw.org](mailto:aristide-nyongkaa.forti@hsrw.org)

or

[juniorforti95@gmail.com](mailto:juniorforti95@gmail.com)

Interested participants will also have the option to receive the final thesis results once the research is completed.

Thank you immensely for your time and support in advance. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

LF - HELP Precision Farming Blanked out Help

• Upvotes

I've been running a save of Alma that I added RCS to for about a month with Precision Farming mod running without issue. I have most of the fields customized using plows in game, not by editing the map. Some of the areas wouldn't read nitrogen correctly but I didn't think much of it. When I loaded it up today there is no data and score is back to 50.

So far I've looked in the log - nothing interesting there. I removed the precision farming xml and other files and tried reloading without and then with PF. It did recreate the files but when I take samples or buy data the map doesn't populate and it says no data found. The soil types will load in the mouseover popup for each field but the PDA map doesn't show colored areas for soil type. All other view are also 'blank' showing no data found. I have since replaced the original files to the original location.

Does anyone know a good place to start? No new recent mods and I use the PF TRConfigurator mod off the patreon page.

Thanks

Discussion Has the slow steering issue been fixed in FS25?

About 1–2 years ago, I played FS25 through Game Pass on Xbox Series X with a Logitech G920, and the in-game steering wheel turned too slowly, making it difficult to maneuver. Has this been fixed in the latest version? I'm thinking about buying the game, but I don't want to waste my money.

Hi everyone! About two years ago, I played a map in Farming Simulator 22, but unfortunately, I can’t remember its name. I’ve been searching for it for a while now without any luck.

I managed to find a few screenshots from when I played it, so I’m hoping someone here might recognize the map from the images.

If you know which map this is, or have any guesses, please let me know! I’d really appreciate the help. I've been trying to find it again for ages!

Thanks in advance! 🙏

LF - HELP Alternative for AutoDrive that works on GeForce Now

Hi,

I’d like to know if there’s an alternative to AutoDrive that works with GeForce NOW and is available in the in-game ModHub.

I’m already using Courseplay, but I’m missing the option to create my own routes on public roads. The built-in AI helper is good enough for about 80% of what I need, but it’s not really designed for full automation.

Thrilled with the Lizard 379 update. Trying to cut/process in the woods and forward to the roadside instead of bunching and skidding.

I don't normally use any turn signals on my tractors because ... well ... it's a tractor. But I pressed the button on my wheel by accident today and I noticed these two orange lights that light up with the turn signals. My thing is, they don't seem to have anything to do with turn signals. It's the same with both left, right and hazard lights so what gives. The annoying part to me is that is a basegame tractor that Giants made. And I really like this tractor. I'm sure it can be fixed in GE but I don't even know how.
