I feel kinda dumb bc I never realized the Chocking Victim created other bands. I knew about leftover crack, but never about morning glory.

When we graduated high school, one of my good friends hopped on a train and went to New York City. About 4 years later, he came back. I was telling him about this New York City band I like called the Chocking victim, and he says "dude, Rza is an asshole. It was pouring rain 1 day, and I was trying to get into C squat to get out of the rain and he wouldn't let me in." I thought, holy shit my friend is really living this life.

You came back home and visited us for about two weeks, and then went back to New York City and died of a heroin overdose within a few days. I've always wondered if it was on purpose. You were a profound person.

His street name was Face. He had a deformed face from birth. By the time he came back home his entire face was tattooed with swirling designs.

We miss you Jesse.

Got this stuff signed from a show 12-14 years or so ago. They had a record signing at a show. The drum sticks I got that same night at the show and a guy gave me the other who grabbed it. Bought the patch as well. Patch and atoms drumstick stick are obo and the TDB cd is case only for 35+shipping and the eternal cowboy is cd artwork only for 30+shipping. I also have a white crosses vinyl I’m keeping that is also signed. Trying to get gas money to go see basement with my wife since we had some brutal bills come out and exhausted our trip funds lol. Thanks!

I don’t call women b*****s
Cuz that’s not very nice

No seriously don’t call women that

I might be misquoting slightly my b

The second portion of a song I wrote for someone I haven't spoken to in over a month...

If I called you up tomorrow or I tried to even now

Would time be made of bandages with scabbing wounds by now?

Are we picking at mosquito bites ’til they become raw again

I like the blood, I like relief, to know I’m still bleeding at all

And the scab’s an opportunity to start over again,

try to heal and try to process everything from a different lens

And you know just how to take a knife and drill into my bug bites

Is screaming vulnerabilities the only way we know how to speak?

If I am still my mother’s daughter place your bets on how much longer I will keep destroying everything

And it’s a sad thought if I’m honest, it’s a sad tale if you want it — we still retell Grecian tragedies

If I am still my mother’s daughter I should take it one step farther

Cuz someone needs to cut the roots of this tree — shouldn’t it be me?

Hallo.

Some music for your consideration. Doing a record produced by yer man Frank Turner, so I figured worth showing you guys what I'm up to/find my people/join this reddit to give everyone a listen. First single is out, along with an acoustic version.

Full band here:
https://open.spotify.com/track/7Lm95lzmylsZbNpnGJiLm2?si=5aac079313e54270

and Acoustic (home-produced) here:
https://open.spotify.com/track/0b46IkFBF3swyQ57qItG3l?si=8479b0787bcb4d34

Also out on Apple, Tidal, every other platform you might like. If you like it you'd be doing me the biggest of favours by saving the songs or following me on chosen platforms, or anything you can manage.

In a nutshell I'm a relatively old fella for getting into this at 42 – my day job is spent with rare and second hand books in London, so it felt like time to get the heart racing again. Thank you for caring, listening, liking, and to whoever started this Reddit so I have somewhere I can put this. Promoting records in the new world is toughhhhhh.

oh also here's my insta account should you be desperate to see my face https://www.instagram.com/robsandallandtheputupons/

HAPPYHAPPY IS COMING TO NORTHERN WISCONSIN.

OSHKOSH DECEMBER 4TH.

TO BE ANNOUNCED DECEMBER 5TH.

YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS - COME TO THE VALLEY!

Could y’all help me out by suggesting your favorite songs about losing the someone close to you. I recently lost my brother (“best friend” doesn’t cut it) and I’m tires of hearing things like “he’s in a better place”. He was very much not religious. Anyway, he’s the one I would have gone to talk to. So, now I’m here. Thanks for reading my sad post.

Edit: that’s definitely supposed to say “recommendations” in the title.

Edit: it doesn’t have to be folk punk. I just don’t think I trust another community for recommendations. Again, thank you

Thanks, everyone. I’m gonna go listen to this playlist now 🙏

Hey all! I'm Asterpine, a folk punk/emo folk one man band from Toledo Ohio, and this is the trailer for my new album, Repeat History, coming out on November 28th! Hope you like it! (This also has previews at the end....)

So are you here ?

I took it upon myself to upload the album and give it a light remaster, since it wasn't available online. The rights belong to the creators. You can download it at the following link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/uwy12vruy6cq4wd/Pass_The_Jug%2521_-_Ruckus%252C_Rags_%2526_Ridin%2527_EP_%2528Remastered%2529.rar/file

10/19/26 benefit for ABC No Rio at The P.I.T.

I have moved to San Francisco and work at Rainbow Grocery. One of the largest worker owned co-ops you ever did see in your whole ass life. We started filming local music after-hours a few months ago, and the sets are just now starting to get released. I'm pretty excited about the whole ordeal, and thought I'd share with y'all freaks. There's some great weird local stuff stuff, and it's just getting started. I don't really play Pipe Bomb songs anymore, but if that's what you would rather hear, me & Teddy are playing for free at the Clarion Alley Project in SF on Oct 25 at 12:30pm, and we are gonna sling a few oldies 'n moldy's just for shits AND giggles. Y'all take care.

Do you know how much courage it takes to post an incredibly unflattering thumbnail of oneself on a subreddit like this? A lot. A whole lot of courage. And bravery. Courage, Bravery, and Understanding.
