They also performed X's 'Nausea' together (accompanied by Ilan and Wiley Hodgden)

RHCP is playing tonight to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the silver lake conservatory in LA and Dave’s name is also on the marquee. Looks like he’s doing a solo acoustic thing? Hopefully some videos of it show up online.

Dave played 'Times Like These' solo, started 'My Hero' solo and was joined by Chris, Pat, Ilan, and Wiley to finish it off, then they did 'Young Man Blues' and were joined by Violet Grohl for 'Nausea' and 'Hanging on the Telephone', 'Baker Street minus Violet, then Dave finished it off with 'Everlong' solo

(edited because i missed a song)

Plus a few solo shows in December, I can’t go but excited to see what he’s cooking up.

Dave and Pat are both on guitars, while Dave also lends vocals and drums

I created artwork of the Foo Fighters teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

There was a lot to fit into this piece, but getting Rocket on guitar was a particular highlight!

Thought I’d share a video of the drawing and colouring process. Happy to answer any questions about the piece or the process!

Not sure if this was posted but thought it was so cool that Pat gave Theo (guitarist in Gouge Away) one of his guitars ❤️

Dave and his youngest daughter(?) visited System of a Down’s exhibition, celebrating 25 years since the release of Toxicity. This was a private opening before it’s open to the public in LA. (From System of a Down’s Instagram story)

Ticketmaster was supposed to have notified people today - alas, nothing in my in box....

Yesterday was my son’s 10th birthday, and the main part of his gift was his ticket to the show in Sydney next month! I recorded his reaction, I had a box with noise cancelling headphones & the t shirt, and wrote out a little poem for him. The last line “you’re going with Mum to see the Foo Fighters” was wrapped up in with the shirt.

His jaw literally dropped, he was speechless! He turned to me and said “do I really get to go?” then gave me a massive hug!

I can’t wait for next month and to experience his first ever concert with him!

The first pic is him at about 3 months old, in his Fooies onesie. He’s been a fan since he was in utero (pun intended)

I'm so Excited and i just can't hide it!!!!

A few years ago while rummaging at my mom’s house, I found this second grade assignment. I believe the prompt was “What will I do over winter break.” Being obsessed with the Foo Fighters and enamored with Dave, I somehow made it into both a letter and declaration?? Keep in mind we lived in the middle of rural Illinois, not even remotely close to winter recreational activities let alone the Arctic (hence the teacher’s inquiry in red). I saved the assignment in a memory binder so that every once in a while I can crack up at the daydreams of an 8-year-old school kid. I hope this cracks up someone else too.

About 20 years later, on 11/8/17 I saw the Foo Fighters for the first time at State Farm Center in Champaign, IL. No dog sleds there, but it still felt like a dream come true. 😊

Dave and Jordyn Grohl hosted the event and Chevy Metal performed along with several special guests (John Mayer, Chad Smith, Annie Lennox, Luke Spiller, Jack Black, Greg Kurstin).

Nate, Ilan, and Pat were in attendance at the event, and Pat hopped onstage with Chevy Metal.

Not The one who Will Smith beat off hahahaha

Really excited to have this hanging on my wall

Hey - Melodics here (we make an app for learning drums, keys and pads).

We’re about to sit down with drummer Ilan Rubin for an upcoming Melodics video, and rather than us asking all the questions, we want to hear what you’d ask him.

Anything goes: his drumming influences, how he practises, his gear and live setup, whatever you want to know.

Drop your questions below. We’ll pick some favourites to put to Ilan when we shoot, and share the full interview once it’s out.

How do you like the Dee Gees covers? Love or Hate?

Personally they gave me a new love and appreciation for the songs they covered. I listen to Dee Gees covers when i need motivation lmao.

Let me know!
