Hello fellow ghouls and ghosties I want to write this blog because I have a very complicated relationship with this band. I got into them when I heard Ritual earlier this year and I fell in love with them. I binged listened to them for the first 4 albums and then I began to delve into Impera and Skeleta and found out. Oh no, I don't like this? Then I searched up modern and old ghost and I'm not alone. I'm not saying old Ghost is superior to Modern Ghost. I understand Tobias always wanted to change up the band and the face of Ghost, but I got into the and expecting one thing and currently I got another.

Don't get it wrong, I still love some songs of the newer albums like Umbra is very good and Rats is catchy and fun. And I love Rite Here Rite Now ritual it's free on YT right now) and I love the lore, all the Papa's (Papa III is my favorite) and I love the way of each new album has a new Papa. But Skeleta and Impera are two ghost albums I hardly ever on repeat because it feels not Ghost at all. It feels like a tribute band of Ghost. And this is strange coming from a new fan because usually I would've gotten into the band due to say Mary on a Cross or Skeleta. But no, I got into the band with their first ever album and basically the start of Ghost. I learned pretty quickly this era that I love won't probably ever return and I'm okay with that.

But I'm happy to finally be interacting with the Ghost fanbase because I hear you guys are some of the nicest people in the planet, and I generally want to interact with all of you. But if you want to comment on this post if your own introduction to the band and what you liked about them and what you wish they would change or come back to. Like I loved Ghost because of their overt satirical take on satanic panic and those bands in the 70s and 80s and I love the satanic aesthetic. And that is sorta gone now.

And just for reference here is my favorite album ranking for fun

Late comment but here is my album ranking

1. Opus Eponymous

2. Infestissumam

3. Meliora

4. Impera

5. Prequelle

6. Skeleta

I was rewatching the lore videos and noticed it, I thought it was funny he still has his makeup on. Maybe he was feeling nostalgic and wanted to put it on again

Edit: you can find the moment in Chapter III, “Back on The Road” when the Papas were playing Uno, it’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment

Trying to think of some of the top lyrics in Latin that would go well with tattoo design. thoughts? Thank you !

Maybe I'm just old, but I think Ghost would do a kickass cover of Heads Will Roll by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The video already has a Ghost vibe to it.

Has anyone heard a rumor going around about the band making an announcement on Halloween at a horror con in Orlando?

After a high demand, I’ve added A4 prints to my Etsy shop :) https://emilalasart.etsy.com
as this’ll make it better for international fans of Ghost because postage is really expensive for A3 for some reason 😑
Copia is also available. TERZO IS COMING.

Hi, everyone.

This is my best attempt at cosplaying Papa V Perpetua at NYCC! I loved being him so much that I think I will dress as him again next year. I had a really great time, and I loved to meet everyone! :)

(Mask and tie by SickThingArt on Etsy)

Edit: This was one of the most fun cosplay/con experiences I've ever had. I know for sure that I will have to dress as him again next year. Aaaaaand now I have the post-con blues.

Just making a little Papa Pumpkin stack... Boo! Getting ready for spooky season.
