I have IP 16promax from my yearly plan from Globe. I am due to renew this month but I was thinking if I should upgrade to 17promax or 18promax? No difference in monthly price rates except for lock-in periods. Renewing to 17promax will have a lock-in period of 2years while 18promax is 3years.

Do you think I should get 17promax instead? I use my phone for work, online gaming (not too heavy), and social media scrolling. Thank you.

Long post but I’m sharing how I got my iPhone 18 PM in my preferred color and storage option on release day (Oct 16) despite my contract ending in November. For context, when I renewed my plan in 2024 for the 16 PM, I renewed online and had to wait a whole month for my unit to be delivered. First week ng November ko na natanggap and like a lot of people in this subreddit, agit rin ako kaka follow up and hintay nun.

This year, after finding out na kahit within the 30-day pre termination period, di pwede mag renew online (yes, nag abang rin ako Oct 2 midnight sa opening ng preorders), I decided to go to the Globe store nearest to me. Timeline:

1. Waited for midnight preorder on October 2, 2026 but couldn’t avail of it. Error message says plan is still in contract.
   
2. Tried again after 2 days para lang sure na nasa loob ng 30 day pre termination period but still to no avail.
   
3. October 6, went to a Globe Store (SM Baguio) to ask if I could pre-order. They listed my name but specifically told me na hindi pa yun yung renewal application mismo. Siguro queue lang ng mga may interest for the new iPhone. Told me icocontact ako on release day (Oct 16) and kung hindi ako kinontact, mag follow up daw ako ulit sa store.
   
4. Debated kung pupunta ba ako on the 15th to follow up but couldn’t and just hoped kontakin ako the following day.
   
5. Finally, around 12:30 pm on October 16, an agent texted me my device was ready for pick-up.

On D-Day, the agent called me after the text and hiningi ID ko through email para daw maprocess yung application. After nun, wala na raw ako gagawin and pick up na lang sa store after. Went to the store and got my device after like 30 minutes of processing.

Important Notes:
1. I initially signed up for a plan downgrade from 1999 -> 1799 but hindi raw pwede kung renew with device. Idk if true but pumayag na lang akong iretain yung 1999 kesa naman di ko makuha yung phone.
2. I paid 1999 in advance when I got the phone.

Ultimately, I think a trick to get the phone on release day is mamili ng Globe Store na wala masyadong nag sign up dahil pangalawa pa lang daw ako nung araw na nakuha ko phone ko🤣

Hi everyone! Na-lock yung Globe SIM ko after entering the wrong SIM PIN, and now it’s asking for a PUK code.
I’m currently in the US and have been here for several months. I still use my Philippine number for OTPs, and it’s linked to my bank accounts, GCash, Grab, and Shopee, so ang hassle if hindi ko na siya ma-access. 😭
I contacted Globe through Facebook, pero hindi ako nakapasa sa verification questions. Hindi ko na maalala yung last load promo na in-avail ko. They also asked about numbers I called in the past two days, pero wala naman akong tinawagan since I mainly use this SIM for receiving OTPs here.
May naka-experience na ba nito while abroad? Were you able to get your PUK code or recover access to the same number? May ibang way ba to verify ownership if hindi masagot yung questions nila?

Tumawag ako kanina sa globe hotline to renew my plan early. Eligible naman ako and I planned to get yung ip18 pro in glacier blue kaso ubos na daw. The specialist told me ilalagay nalang niya ako sa waitlist for the device and provided a reference number. Does anyone have any idea kailan kaya magkakastock ang globe? Or is anyone in the same situation?

Maybe (idk) we're the only Globe ISP in our area, but wtf. So maybe it's not worth it when there's only 1 person in an area experiencing LOS? It's been 4 days since we lost connection. After the unsuccessful visit on the first day, I checked the Globe app and it said the fiber line was the problem. I checked again now, and there’s no problem with the fiber line but the red LOS is still blinking.

The customer specialist asked for the days when the technician would visit. I made sure the following days were set for the visit, especially all morning. They called 3 times which I couldn't answer because I was busy, and I got a text that just said "globe" from the number. I replied about 11 mins later to the text; I already knew they wouldn't reply after that, but I just hoped. But nope.

The third day came and they rescheduled the visit for the next afternoon. So it’s been four days now.

I might switch already, what do you think?

I reached out to my Globe Platinum RM today to ask for an update, and honestly, I wasn't expecting the response I got.

During the pre-order process, I was told that the phone would be dispatched for delivery on Apple's launch day, October 16.

I've been renewing my plan at a Globe store for almost a decade, but this year, I decided to do it online through my RM instead. I received my confirmation email on October 7, so I really thought I'd be getting my phone a few days after the launch.

For reference, here's what my RM told me when she processed my pre-order:

"It will be included (the shipping) on the device launch on the 16th for delivery dispatch."

Now I'm wondering if anyone else who pre-ordered through Globe Platinum is in the same boat. Have you received your phone yet, or have you been given a delivery update?

After few considerations - I decided to renew my plan and pre-order a Duo with Globe

Cashout was around P123k on top of Plan 1999

Main deciding factor was the estimated delivery time of ordering from Apple Website is February 2027

I was not willing to fall in line to pre-order.

Any one who did the same? Will I be getting my phone kaya sooner than Feb?

I’ve ran out of options and nobody can seem to help. Im trying this since yesterday and still unresolved. Im trying to transfer my Globe eSIM to a new device via transfer method, but Globe One App says to “delete” the eSIM from old device first and then scan the QR code. I did that as instructed but there was no QR code given. Now I dont have eSIM anymore and im trying to get help from someone but they’re all saying generic answers after long queue. Can somebody help?

Seems hopeless at this point. No movement, no updates, and the same response from CSR every day. So frustrating.

Its been a few months now since Globe x Starlink has fully launched satellite features.

The said features were merely useful in cases where no cellular service is available, emergency cases, and have been useful in far-flung areas especially on mountainous areas.

Is there any update or progress on its availability on iOS?

Went to Globe store earlier (Oct 18) to renew my plan and pre-order the iPhone Duo. Sinabi sakin nung nag process na sure raw na makukuha ko yung device sa launch date which is on Oct 30. Sabi rin nya, nung chineck nya sa system, pang 36 pa lang daw ako sa nag pre-order sa store nila. Wala akong binayarang anything kasi charge to bill yung device cash-out. Wala pang changes sa account ko kasi mag take effect daw yung plan upgrade once makuha ko na yung device. Walang any texts or email confirmation about sa pre-order na ginawa ko kanina.

Totoo kayang makukuha ko yung device sa 30th? Kasi day 1 pa lang sa globe online store, sold out na agad yung device.

So for context we pay about 2,200 for our Globeathome internet and the kicker is we only get around 250 mbps of speed... while looking it up I was not able to see an internet plan like that on the Globe's main page. Can anyone help me in figuring this out? It really feels like we're just getting ripped off and if things don't change we might as well just go and cancel our current plan and switch to another provider.
