I am a hindu and we are from vaishnav family where every sunday we have bhajan keertan at home, frequent trips to vrindavan and are advised to do naam jap and mahamantra, all of this doesn’t excite me or brings me closer to god, But whenever I travel, i am in the nature with mountains, I start crying thinking about what a creation this world is, i had a deep attachment to lord shiva when i visited rishikesh, I love nature in it’s every form, I once went for scuba dive and now I cannot stop thinking how beautifully crafted this world is by that God, I don’t know is he is krishna or anyone , but he is the most supreme and divine power, and I start crying. I just love travellinb btw, Am i just makinv an excuse to visit mountains again or take a dive in ocean? Why can’t i find him in vrindavan? Why do I see traces of him in that fish inside the ocean or I see lord shiva in that snowy mountain but don’t see him in unaesthetic tall buildings and unpleasant weather and cities?

Behind Kali Amma's temple lived a deadly viper named Anali. He hunted only at night and spent his days coiled under the dry leaves, for a viper seen is a viper feared. The rats that raided the temple's waste pit kept him well fed. That he existed was a secret between him and the rats.
Years went by, and he grew long and hefty on the easy prey, which he took to be Kali Amma's grace.
One day, a yellow rat snake, Cherran, happened to pass by the temple. He noticed rats feeding in the temple pit and crept towards it. He lunged a few times, but the rats scattered and he caught none. Cherran decided to stay nearby. He might just get lucky another day.
"Why would anyone worry about a simple rat snake like me?" he often wondered. Cherran could easily be spotted among the dry leaves and the shrubs, basking in sunlight.
One morning, as Cherran lay in the soft sun, a flock of babblers foraging nearby burst into a racket. Up in the jackfruit tree, a jungle crow heard it and spotted Cherran. He cawed and cawed.
The squirrels climbed up to the treetops. The peafowl and other birds perched high and looked down to find out what the frantic cawing was about. The jungle crow told them that he had seen a large snake, possibly a yellow python, lying in the grass. Maybe it was resting after a meal, but now it had disappeared. Hearing all the commotion, Cherran hid himself in the bushes.
By then, the animals and birds had decided to get help from Kiri, the mongoose who lived in the neighbourhood.
"He is large, a large yellow python," said the squirrel.
"Yes, we have spotted him many times by the temple pit," said the rats.
"I spotted him first," said the jungle crow.
Kiri took up the challenge—a python was something he had never encountered. "Yet another ode to my courage," he thought.
Kiri came over to the temple pit. He waited amongst the bushes for the python to show up. As always, the rats were raising a din in the pit: shrieks, squeaks, and cries. Other animals waited anxiously for news from the pit.
The day passed without any sighting. Kiri decided to spend the night nearby.
Past midnight, he heard a rustle moving slowly towards the pit. A few rats got a whiff of it and left the pit.
Kiri inched closer. He crouched, ready to lunge. Finally he pounced onto something; there was a struggle in the dark. The rats fled, squeaking. He bit into it hard until it stopped moving.
The bats watching from the temple peepal tree flew out to spread the news.
Kiri spent a while eating his catch. When he left, the rats returned; they feasted on the bits of flesh strewn on the ground. It was Anali.
The next day, Cherran caught a rat. He took his catch and slithered away from the temple.

I'm planning on visiting Varanasi in November or February (based on recommendations for low crowd + heat). Since this is a spiritual trip for me, I don't want to go to overcrowded places like it's a checklist for me to tick off, I really want to admire the beauty of the place and resonate with Lord Shiva.
This might be a bit of an ask since UP is the most populous state, but are there any places you would specifically recommend for this? Some told me to take a boat ride in the morning for Ganga arti. I'll be staying for around a week, maybe more or less depending on how much there is to do, let me know what you think.
Also, I've never been to Varanasi before, so can people compare the crowd levels to Tirupati or Annamalai or something?

Shri Narayana is asleep during chaturmaas. Even tulja bhavani sleeps just before and after navratri.
What does it mean? A deity fundamentally cannot be exhausted so what are they actually doing behind the scenes?

With everything that is happening in India and around the world these days, now is the perfect time for Kalki to descend to Earth.
We are on the brink of Singularity/Superintelligence, where A.I. will replace humanity from Earth.
There are multiple wars going on in the world and WW3 doesn't seem far-fetched.
Adharmis are poisoning this country and the world in hope for more power, money and status and are ruining the lives of billions of people.
Climate Change is starting to take its toll and it will only get worse.
Adharmi people are scamming innocent people in the name of religion and misguiding them.
Food and water crisis is about to hit everyone.
People are growing too dependent on technology and mentally and physically dormant.
Social connections are disappearing as everyone is dependent on social media and social media is poisoning people's minds and people are getting dependent on social media and A.I. to make their choices.
Society is on the brink of collapse.
This is why now is the perfect time for Bhagwan Vishnu to take his Kalki Avatar.
I just hope it happens soon.

➳ The Battle of Ten Kings (Daśarājñá Yuddhá) - The Forgotten RigVedic Epic of India: Ṛigveda 7.18, 7.33, 7.83 narrates the The Battle of Ten Kings. King Sudās Paijavana, guided by his sage-priest Vasiṣṭha Maitrāvaruṇi, faces a great confederacy of kings on the banks of the Paruṣṇī - the Ravi river of modern Punjab, though Sudās himself was located in and from Haryana.
➳ The Daśarājña is of the Ṛgveda’s mythopoetic, cornerstone and iconic accounts of tribal warfare. Sudās - leader of Tṛtsu-Bharatas, had been expanding westward into the Punjab before confronting a large coalition at the Paruṣṇī (Ravi). The confederacy, comprising several allied tribes, gathered to halt Sudās’ advance and resist his expanding power. The battle is portrayed as both a human conflict and a divine struggle, with Indra and Varuṇa aiding Sudās against the coalition. In the Ṛgvedic telling, the Bharata victory becomes a defining moment in the rise of Sudās, the Tṛtsus and their priestly tradition of the Vasiṣṭha Rishi-clan.
➳ Political history and divine action aren't separate phenomena; they are inextricably tied together. The relationship between ṛṣi (sage/seer), king/tribal leader and deity is an iconic trifecta of holy war!

She protected Pandavas from being discovered during exile. She freed Krishna's grandson Aniruddha from his chains in Bana's prison. She gave fearlessness to Devaki and Vasudeva in Kamsa's prison. She transferred Balarama to Rohini's womb. Gopis worshipped her to attain Krishna. She blessed Arjuna with victory in Kurukshetra. When bandits wanted to sacrifice the Vaishnava Jada Bharata as an offering to Mahakali, she herself appeared from the vigraha and slayed the bandits.
Mahabharata says vāsudevasya bhaginīṃ divyamālyavibhūṣitām, sister of Vaasudeva, one who is always decked in celestial garlands and attired in celestial robes. Devi is the sister of Vishnu, and as an aunt is affectionate towards her brother's children, Devi is protective of Vishnu's devotees.

In Nepal, we're celebrating a 10-day festival named Dashain. For the first nine days, we worship 9 different feminine forms of Mother Nature (from a girl to a mother, from a warrior to a sage, from the darkest of her to her purest white form), and on the 10th day we celebrate her victory over a demon. I tried to write a small book on it; "प्रकृतिरूपा: She Who Is Nature", it's a story passed down for thousands of years. If you have some time, please have a look: https://she-who-is-nature.vercel.app/ . You can download a PDF, also available on Amazon. Happy Dashain to you all.

Om Namah Shivay 🕉️🔱
Deep inside a dangerous gorge near a popular local waterfall lies a mysterious Shivling, hidden from view above. A continuous stream of water drips onto it, yet its source remains unknown. The Shivling has been protected by nearby villagers for generations as part of their ancestral traditions and devotion.
We discovered this place unexpectedly while exploring the area. There were only two of us when we encountered two villagers passing by on a motorcycle. We asked them how to reach the nearby waterfall or river. They warned us that the terrain was extremely dangerous, with abundant wildlife, and explained that they were heading down to perform pooja and invoke their village Devta.
We carefully followed their descent from a considerable height. The path was steep, rocky, and nerve-racking. The Shivling was completely invisible from above; it could only be seen after reaching the depths of the gorge. Most people who visit the waterfall do not know about it because it is hidden and protected by the villagers. Yet, once we reached it, we felt an extraordinary sense of peace and divine energy.
No one knows how the Shivling came to be there. Some villagers believe Mahadev comes here annually to meditate. There are also local accounts of people seeing a meditating figure nearby, only for sudden heavy rain or accidents to prevent them from getting closer. These stories remain part of the place’s mystery.
Another fascinating detail is the metal serpent coiled around the Shivling. Despite constant moisture and exposure, it shows no obvious signs of rust or deterioration, apart from a greenish layer resembling kaai (moss or algae). Water continues to drip onto the Shivling, but its exact source remains unknown. Villagers and some researchers have privately investigated the water source, but no one has been able to determine where the water comes from. Possible connections to groundwater or the nearby waterfall remain unconfirmed.
For generations, nearby families have preserved this sacred place through their ancestral traditions and devotion. Although it is close to a famous local waterfall and the highway, very few people know about the Shivling.
We are deliberately keeping its exact location private out of respect for the villagers’ faith and to protect this fragile, dangerous site. Please do not attempt to find or reach it without trusted local guidance. We have not seen any photos or videos of this place online, so please respect its privacy and do not repost or share any photos or videos of it.
Some places are discovered through directions; others feel like they reveal themselves when the time is right.
Har Har Mahadev! 🙏🕉️🔱

So I believe that fate is our perception of how things will end and there are people who can predict it but I don't believe it's entirely possible because I think if you really do believe in something, believe in god have faith in them I think your fate can be changed and we are a part of a consciousness and we are connected through energies and god is also the part of that energy so may be praying and manifesting can bring you your desired fate or destiny however you would like to denoted but it's our responsibility as well to work for it.

I know karma is what is the main force in Hinduism, but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around, imagine I hit someone then they hit me 30 years later (ik bad example) but I wouldn’t understand why they did it. In the same way I don’t find it fair for innocent people to be hurt and impacted in venerable stages in life and say it’s their doing from a past life. People are going from starvation, war, etc. my biggest wonder is why god doesn’t intervene in those cases at least. Does anyone have any real experience with god, like any eye opening moment which makes you discard the suffering in the world.
